Re: 68 project

Sounds like pretty good progress to me. I've never wired and I'm considering doing mine if it's not too difficult.

Very good progress, just nothing quick about this process, I am not really enjoying the line running and wirig myself but it has to be done

Re: 68 project

Nice! I like the NOS aspect of those, but I can't decide if I like the bumper guards on these trucks. It's funny too because when I had my beetle, I hated how it looked without the guards.

Re: 68 project

It is funny to me that I now add things to my truck that I used to take off and toss in the scrap metal pile because I thought they were ugly, just like the rear step bumper

I have to paint them flat white and then let them rust a bit so they will match my front bumper

Just checking. I bought a 'patina' one for the front.

I laid eyes on that thing today. First thing I said to Larry was " Man that's a nice bumper " He said someone is already after him about it. I just seen this post. Lmbo. I wish you the best of luck on that thing. It looks AWESOME. I would seal it to stop any further rust and bolt that baby on the way it is! He had that jewel hidden from me. But he has hooked me up many times already so I'm not hating.

Re: 68 project

Had a blast today witnessing grandpas handy work. But I do think they should have gotten him some duck tape and some zip ties instead of a grinder and a Jr. mechanic starter kit for Christmas. He did some crazy handy work. Wish they would not have hide the bolt for the motor and transmission from him. That was not a good joke to play on him. Lol

Yet another crazy time hanging with Larry. And we still have all of the body parts we walked in with. Ready for the next one!

Exactly my intentions. I bought a 'patina' front bumper from Uncle, so I should be golden.
