Congrats on the baby girl Chad. I love the shifter bracket. That is cool. Nice work on the trailing arms too.

I know I wished you congratulations on FB but after reading your comment I thought I'd reply on here as well . I too wish we were closer . I think it's safe to say Rian probably feels the same way .

Re: my '64 c-10 swb project with steel floor from a '70
PS
Collected a rear loadbed cross brace from Martin that he got off Del's truck last year. My truck is missing some braces. Anyway, Martin showed me this pic, of myself and Chad on the rear bed of Clem's flatbed truck up in the Ozarks when we were in the USA. I had not seen it before, and seem pretty relaxed and happy there. It reminded me of just how great this trip was. All the incredible people we got to meet on the trip and also those we missed out spending time with like Donnie Johnson, or meeting like Steve in Arkansas. Possibly the best time of my life......... Maybe time for a "Replay"

Re: my '64 c-10 swb project with steel floor from a '70
thanks for the picture Rian! looks like we had just got into the yard to start looking!
So yesterday and todays progress! I cut out the inner upper windshield piece, and made the patch, then started welding it in! I also wanted to throw in a pic of what the shifter bracket with the bowtie cutouts will look like, and the position of the shifter when done! Yes it is leaning forward

Re: my '64 c-10 swb project with steel floor from a '70
So it's been awhile since I updated this thread! been working a lot, buying things an with the new baby truck progress is slow!
So I have bought some buddy bucket seats from forum member Classic Bowties, picture added! I have also put in my order with forum member Truckseats, for some seat covers! they will be gray vinyl with blue houndstooth inserts an solid gray vinyl jump seat! I won't have for a while 12 week waiting period! I can't seem to add the pic off my phone so please use your imagination with the pics first pic it the buddy bucket seat I got! second and third pic is the colors

Re: my '64 c-10 swb project with steel floor from a '70
I have also bought some stainless steel drink holders, an plan on doing what forum member MisterC did with his buddy bucket seats by adding them to the back of the jump seat! will have that update when I get the seat upholstery! the blue houndstooth will blind in with my blue carpet! I have also bought a extra yard of gray vinyl to make sure the armrest, sunvisors, and half wrap steering wheel all match
buddy bucket seats are the 67 style cause they flip forward and I won't have to mod. them still trying to figure out how I can have 4 point harness seat belts and buddy bucket seats

I am not sure about OK, but a lot of states it is not legal to run 4 or 5 point belts in a street machine.

yea I'm not sure either so I have been looking at retractable jeep lap belts, they have them in gray that is really close to the color of the vinyl

looks really good Chad… sure love me some buddy buckets. the color and houndstooth weave will look great… its always high anxiety till they're done but it will be worth it.
i like the look of the forward tilting shifter but will you be able to reach it under those 9000 RPM launches? |

I wonder if they would be able to rebuild belts with different colour fabric, possibly even closer to the colour you are wanting. I do not think here are many or any cars in the UK that run lap belts. I really like these Buddy seats, but again, not available in the UK and rarely seen for sale. We both like the bench seat more than buckets, but Nicola hates me cornering, even moderately as she ends up on my lap.......
