Re: Post your 60-66 craigslist finds
It says all original but, the engine looks strange. The valve covers have too many holes for a small block. The intake has a water crossover. It really doesn't look like a 409. Is it a Pontiac?

pontiac rocker covers are 4 bolt but oldsmobile are 10 so maybe? I'm not familiar with the engine options in a 1960 C60, could it be a tall deck 427 or similar?

Re: Post your 60-66 craigslist finds
That looks like a 455 olds in the 60 Viking. Pretty sure those weren’t even available in an Olds in 60. Also don’t think a Viking 60 would have had an auto trans.

Re: Post your 60-66 craigslist finds
It kills me to think this truck will be sold to a wrecking yard and parted out over a damaged fender and likely a salvageable grille!

Re: Post your 60-66 craigslist finds
I wonder if it has a title. It appears to be a Custom Camper with the original engine and, if it still has its original auto trans.... it’s a hidden gem if it’s a 327/TH400 combo. Last bid was just over $2k, pretty steep for a part out, but certainly about right for all that is there. And does appear easily repairable if there’s a title that would make it worth it.

Re: Post your 60-66 craigslist finds
We got the retro style camper you see in my avatar to replace the old one on our truck, but if my wife had seen this, we could have gotten that. It's really cool; too bad it's on the other side of the continent. I hope somebody picks it up.

Re: Post your 60-66 craigslist finds
Neat find! Wonder if that paint's original. Why do I see yellow showing on the wheels and painted lock rings? Hmmm. Awesome tail gate, though! Odd that there's no "Hi Torque" sticker on the passenger valve cover.
