Re: Started my first frame off - 72 SWB LS1, 6-spd manual
Thank You..
Thanks Thanks Mike... Installing this VA setup has probably been one of the more challenging things of my build. Hindsight, I should have installed this sooner and before paint. Since I'm not running any of the A/C or heater hoses where they are suppose to go makes it way more challenging. I also had to relocate my ECM, relays and fuses to fit the evaporater.

I ran my lines along the frame and inner fender well.

Ran the hoses above under my fender and above the inner fender well.

Re: Started my first frame off - 72 SWB LS1, 6-spd manual
Thanks Keith. I really enjoyed cruising to the Brothers show a couple of weeks ago with ice cold air. We had a great time and can't wait until next year.

Hey Mark, quick question. Do you have any problem with condensation build up in your cab on these hot summer days? I have an older model vintage air kit and it gets so cold it "sweats" right down at the bottom lower vent where the heat comes out in the winter. At first I thought maybe my drain was clogged, but it was clean and clear. It appears to be just condensation. Mostly on these 95-110+ temp days. |

Great job on the VA Install! The routing looks perfect, so clean.
Did you have any pictures of where the ECM/Fuse/Relays now reside?

Here's a picture of my ECM, fuses, relays and Dakota digital box inside my glove box. It's in there pretty snug but easy to access. One of my better investments was a label maker. Every wire is labeled. This really helped me out when I relocated everything.

Thanks Shane I would dig to have you as a neighbor. I really do enjoy driving it. Here is a pic from a few weeks ago near Hunington beach, my third trip to CA. In the truck.

Re: Started my first frame off - 72 SWB LS1, 6-spd manual
Had a great weekend with my family and friends at the Henderson Super Run. There were over a 1,000 awesome cars and trucks on display, and I took home a sweet award!

Wow!!! I just read all 32 pages of this thread and what a build and great job on the truck! Definitely inspiring for me to start back in on my truck since it has been sitting for the past 2 years. Glad to see you're getting great use out of it!
