Good to hear. So I guess, I should plan on about 5-6 cans then.

Yeah I would go with 6. I sprayed a couple of coats on. It's says on the can that the thicker it is the better it works. I will probably spray on another coat before carpet goes in.

Summit Racing has it and if I remember correctly, it was roughly 10-12 a can.

Yeah you can get it from Amazon.com too. I have purchased it from both of them. I like it cause it works well and you don't have to invest $200 plus like with lizard skin by the time you buy everything along with the gun. This stuff you just prep and spray it from the can.

Finally got back to working on my truck again, feels good. Got the Porterbuilt Forward arms removed as well as the shock relocators and shocks. Don't mind all the dust on the frame , I really need to clean it off. Hey Nate I'm ready for some parts

Sure is a heck of a lot easier without springs to mess with isn't it?

Yeah it is a breeze taking the front end apart with airbags installed. Don't have to worry about the spring jumping out of there and taking your head off.

Nothing like a busted lip and a few missing teeth. I had one fly out of my S10 and rattle around in the fender well. Scary stuff man.

Ouch yeah those springs are no joke, besides putting the jack under the control arm we also use a chain on the spring to keep it in there until its loose.

Re: Project "What was I Thinking" 68 SWB

Since i'm waiting on my Dropmembers to come in so I can finish the frame for the 3rd and last time I decided to tackle a job today that has really upset me that I had to do. Before the hurricane and my fathers heart condition I had the bodywork on both my doors almost done and ready for primer. It has been 4 months since I looked at them and they developed surface rust on all the bare metal. So today I sanded all the rust off and primered them. I had to take off some of the bodywork I had already done so I will need to smooth them out a little but hopefully now that they are primered I won't have any more issues with rust.

My motto is anything worth doing is worth doing twice. I know what you mean about plowing ground that you've already been over. The doors look ready to go now Keith. Is the crossmember already out?

Crossmember is still in for now, I'm gong to wait until my dropmembers come in to pull the motor/tranny and take the crossmember out.

Thanks Rusbuilt, sorry you had to read through all the pages of my craziness with all the changes I made I'm confident that I'm on the right track now. I'm looking forward to seeing your Dually layed out with that sweet porterbuilt suspension.

That would be awesome, I would totally be down for that. Just would need to get an overdrive transmission first so I could make a long trip lol. I can't wait to be cruising a couple of inches off the ground too
