Re: Lets see pics of your truck hauling!!

Getting ready to unload our mid-century couch after bringing it back from the upholsterer where it was completely redone. Even my long-bed won't quite hold it with the tailgate up. :-) I kind of like how the truck color complements the couch colors. Or vice versa.

Going to drop off an engine for another truck in my truck.

Did a part swap for a nice FE390 for a Blueprint 383 roller.

Fe is going in a 60's F truck, 383 is going in my truck.

The 430 HP Blueprint 383 Hyd Roller

https://blueprintengines.com/collect...ock-bp38313ct1

I have the stock 255hp 350 4 bolt, it will be going in the shed, its in really nice condition, just not super powerful.

Local rod shop was looking for a good FE block/engine, so we did a deal of sorts.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: Lets see pics of your truck hauling!!

I consider good vacuum anything in double numbers, this engine had 11 to 12 in Hg at idle, which is enough for brakes to work and not give drive ability issues.

Big duration and long overlap cams will kill the vacuum and other methods of boosting the brakes may be required.

Pulled a 327. Bought a 350 crate. It is the stock base engine.

Post Engine Vacuum

Understood ;

You said it idles smoothly @ 900RPM's so I was expecting at least 15" HG @ idle, a big overlapping cam isn't goilg to idle smoothly @ 900RPM .

? Do they make electric high volume vacuum pumps ? . I know they have engine powered ones for Diesel engines......
