Re: Cubber's Build Thread

Next is new wheels. My truck is on jackstands at an undisclosed holding facility in Nashville. I sold the wheel and tires, and didn't have any to put on it. Way to plan it out!!

Re: Cubber's Build Thread

I like steel wheels, something in a 17" or 18", might go as big as 20" in the right wheel. I will spend a few days lookin', and would LOVE some input!

Re: Cubber's Build Thread

The wheel and tire choice I like best would look a lot like this, but with the centers i have. This truck is one of the ones that made me want to go air ride.

Definitely room for more! You already like the right kind of music. Look at the posters on my shop wall sometime, lol.

Re: Cubber's Build Thread

Ordered some wheels! I know, Rus, I was gonna wait a few days, but I spent a couple hours last night, and a couple more this afternoon researching and looking at pics. I love these steel wheels, and I think they are a great alternative. Everyone is running Boss 338s, or tuck ralleys (ok, I know not EVERYONE, but LOTS of ones). I wanted something different. One thing I love about steelies is that you can always change the cap or the color, add or remove a trim ring, and -bang- you've given your ride a whole different attitude!

Re: Cubber's Build Thread

I looked at all types of wheels, and didn't use price as an option on initial search. There were some styles that I liked, but that wouldn't fit my truck. I am ok with a little trimming, but for this particular project, I decided that some just don't fit!

Re: Cubber's Build Thread

I figured out that I already had the wheel I wanted, just in the wrong size. I ordered the Cragar Soft 8 in silver again, but this time I got a 17x8. I am soooo excited to see them on, and I'm gonna run a liitle bit shorter tire so I can crush them Dew cans a lil more so Chuck's trash doesn't have to be taken out as often, lol. I couldn't find too many pics of these on a 69 C10, so I found these others to give an idea. BTW, ain't that Chevelle nasty?

I like those Bonneville style wheels. Have you found a measurement of the center bore on those?
