Re: '64 chevy 2wd to 4wd
ya, you guys been going threw some nasty stuff. I'm soooo glad our fire season is finally over, seems to have been a bad yr everywhere...
have'nt had much free time lately. with winter fast approaching, the push is on at work to get some big projects cleaned up before the snow fly's (actually the other day we got a couple inches, but it did'nt hang around....) as well as getting my place set for the winter got the motor done, LQ4 and most of the susp. just have to twist up some coils and make shocks. the coil buckets and shock mounts are already on the axle ready to go. lots of dicking around on this frame, stretched a couple times, cross members added and deleted, re-did the engine mounts, deleted the 2wd stuff and added bed cross members |

Re: '64 chevy 2wd to 4wd
It's looking great (even if it's too new). They pulled that lymphnode. The same week I was evacuated fo 6 days due to the Atlas fire. While evacuated I was diagnosed as stage 2 nonhodgkins lymphoma. I just finished 4 days of Chemo. More chemo to come this week.and more after that. I can't work until at least April. Rant over truck is looking great...keep up the good work...

Re: '64 chevy 2wd to 4wd
The prognosis is good. I'm only stage 2 this time. I have already done six chemo treatments of at least six hours each. The last one of this series is this Tuesday. Then I start the second series thanksgiving week. It's helping already my jaw is no longer square. The swelling is gone. Woohoo. The interior and chasssis is looking great. I like the new purchase looking forward to see what you do with it. I would suggest you don't bring any of those attention distracting accessories home(like in the pics). It tends to make wives angry for some reason...lol

Re: '64 chevy 2wd to 4wd
well that sounds promising Dale
chemo is a real killer on the body. wife's second sister is on the tail end of some bad stuff. they did a bunch of chemo last yr, really dragged her down, they ended up removing one of her breasts wife has 4 sisters, 3 of them including my wife have had to go threw this crap a little more on the crewcab |

I like that one! Any of the ways you showed it would be cool. You know I'll be watching.

Re: '64 chevy 2wd to 4wd
wow! last post was exactly a month ago...
lot been happening. big one was my computer screwing up and dying. it really, reaLLY, REALLY ticked me off last month...i'll just say it died an ignoble death....lost EVERYTHING on it, but i did get some diodes and scale wires out of it for my models.. then i had a heck of a time trying to get back on to my sites (no passwords and not knowing what in hell i'm doing with this new HP computer does'nt help either...where's my hammer...) and my tires and junk for my '69 dually took FOREVER to get here (christmas rush i guess) and then last friday my pocket pal, Squiggy the skinny pig, up and died on me... oh yeah, and after listening to the wife harass, harangue, bug, pester, beg, and just get on my nerves about not having a "bedroom" for 26 yrs (don't a mattress on a steel roller frame count??..) i broke down and got her one... good move, paid off quite well.. besides "breaking in" the new bedroom (heh-heh) when we were moving the old dresser, found a bag of camera sd cards under it, been under there for 10 yrs or so. couple days ago i figured out how to download on this new 'puter and ran them sd cards threw. came across a bunch of awesome vid-e-o! there's about 2 hrs of video in short fliks of my son being born to around 5-ish. first steps, learning to ride a bike, a quad, playing with the puppy's...we've never seen them before, their scratchy and shaky, no sound either, like my parents 8mm flicks from the '60's but in color. wife remembers video'ing them, some were obviously done by me, prob our first digi cam, early 2000's or so. pretty neat not only seeing our son, but our dogs as puppies, our vehicles, our house, where we went, amazing how much actually changes in 10 yrs... and it paid off good for my hobby. wifey went all out this winter. the only hobby shop around since the other one closed is like almost a 100 mile round trip, and she found her way there (never, ever being there before..) and got me a few trucks, a butt-load of model glue, and some (yay!) styrene. ya, i've done these, and she knows it, but it was the only chevy trucks they had. she felt bad so she somehow (again never showed her..) got to my parts caster's site and ordered me a 100 bucks of swampers, t-case's, axles, enough junk to go for awhile, they just did'nt make it here in time. and i dont mind the trucks she got me, belive it or not i don't have a short fleet sq in the collection, thinking about something totally diff for the wrecker, AND i was able to trade the snow plow fom the sq body kit for a int for the '60 crew i was building, and lost my int parts for....(dumb-ass.....) really looking forward to going on that one agin... got the motor mostly done, traded for a race 502 bb then used the kit stock bb parts, valve covers, carb, etc to make it look stock, so there is no shortage of wheeties in this one... whacked off the whole back half |
