I took pics but I can't find them. I will take some more. I want to go stick them under the truck just to see what will fit.

Re: Its Mine the World Famous 67 Dragtruck
I figured I would post this over here instead in the tire thread, but your truck is one of the ones I draw inspiration from(no homo). Your pass time run was awesome. There are alot of fast trucks on here and yours got me hooked to really make mine fast(er). That and wanting beat a friend's Malibu, bc he constantly talks $*&^ and i would love to beat him just once!! He is running 11.3 on 100-shot and he has a 150 pill he has yet to try out. His car is sweet as hell though 79 nice 454 w/tremec 5spd and 9". His car is a blast to drive!!

Re: Its Mine the World Famous 67 Dragtruck
Sweet. We will have similar combos so we will have to compare notes. I'm just a little scared of the little tire you are gonna run. I know it can be done I'm just not that good on the chassis stuff.

Re: Its Mine the World Famous 67 Dragtruck
I got the truck back to a rolling state last night and I should get it to the Chassis Shop this weekend. I am gonna pick up my convertor this weekend and I hope to start putting the motor in Cades Truck if all goes well.

Re: Its Mine the World Famous 67 Dragtruck
The little tire stuff is what I learned on. I actually have a problem getting too agressive on the big tires with chassis set up, and run the tire over. Then I gotta back off, and lighten the hit a little. The Monte Carlo will go out past 330' still riding the wheelie bars on both systems as it sits now. It happened in Montgomery last year when I screwed up bracket racing. I hope to get it all lined out soon, then maybe we can match race!! Paul

Where did you get that one? I was thinking of adding one of the splined ones from S&W

Re: Its Mine the World Famous 67 Dragtruck
seem a nice simple one a while back it was just a piece of roundbar in a piece of pipe that had mounting points for the frame
the roundbar has 2 flanges welded on the ends he just mounted another flange to that with bolts that had another piece of roundbar mounted on it sideways the downmount to the rearaxle could slide over that piece of roundbar before clamping it down wish gave you unlimited options for sensitivity its verry simple to put together needs verry little room between the chassis and the tire and most of the parts can be bought at a diy store or autostore

Re: Its Mine the World Famous 67 Dragtruck
This one came from applied racing or ART. It is there middle one. It is actually pretty simple. You mount the tabs that hold the bearing blocks then slide the round stock in and weld your to it. It should be pretty light and pretty strong. I looked at the S&W piece also but their was more to the install and it was more expensive.
I got a box in today from S&W also. Pics to come a little later.
