Stock looking with new seats and new wheels and tires. A stock looking gauge cluster, but I'll have to relocate the radio and unfortunately I have to use the modern A/C controller.

Those seats are super comfy. I had a set before. Will make for a nice comfy ride combined with the modern air ride suspension!!!

I drilled all the holes for the front seats, easy. The rear seat has a lift and flip feature the incorporates these hoops for sliding up and down on as it goes through the motion. I had just hacked them out of the blue parts truck, so now I have to grind out the welds and separate the backing plate from the blue sheet metal. Once that was done I drilled out the ends where they mount on the crew back panel and cut slots connecting the end holes. Stuck them in from behind like the factory did and welded them up.
The bottom brackets on the rear seat just bolt to the floor.

Giant washers that the 2002 uses to hold the cab on. That and the rear mounts on the front seats land on an overlap seam of double sheetmetal on the crew cab (suburban) floor. These 2 mounts are obviously the 2 most important with my integrated seat belts.

Ok looking through your build and it is a sweet truck, but I was wondering what is the dimensions of your rear door? I am thinking that the rear seat will be tight for leg room. I have been looking at several different trucks like this over the years and all were tight for leg room in the back. Just kind of wondering because I am looking to do something similar to my 70, but still a sweet build.

The "doors" are stock suburban doors, but really there is only one. 33 inches long. Give me a couple of months and I'll take pictures of the seats installed and measure it for you. Remember also that I am using the 2002 extended cab seat and not the huge crew cab seat available starting in 2003.

In retrofitting the newer seat into mine I am leaning toward using a length of 2"x1/8" steel flat bar below the floor pan that will tie both seat mount points on each side of the seat together front to back just for a little more strength and to spread the load a little. The seat belt anchor points can be tied into the flat bar as well. I might be able to tie the ends of the flat bar into the edge of the original seat mount reinforcement areas too.

Run the seat mount studs from the donor through the flat bar and up into the cab so the stock locking nuts can be used too. Stitch weld the flat bar to the bottom of the floor pan to secure it in place and seam seal the rest of the edge to keep moisture out.

Good plan. After I responded to that message I walked out and looked it over and decided I had room for 4 inch by 6 inch quarter plate on the rear mounts, I may just do one plate like you are thinking. Paint the bar first, mount seat with nuts and bolts and Locktight, then seam sealer the perimeter of the flat stock, finish with undercoating.

Moving on, we must be able to stop. I had a spare brake assembly that I stole a linkage from to help mate old to new. I cut off the new rod and welded the old threaded rod to it. Then I threaded the cutoff - half on the old threaded rod, half on the new shaft that was a tiny bit smaller diameter. This was my reinforcing sleeve over my welded rods. Then I had to make the center hole much bigger and relocate the holes for the studs on the new booster to fit inside the cab. I took out the studs on the 72 brake mount and later drilled it out to line up with the new studs.
