Re: Post your 60-66 craigslist finds
Before throwing darts at a seller for not listing their phone number, recommend post a CL ad with your personal phone number to understand why it is no longer advisable to list one’s phone number on CL... The last ads I posted (several, about a month ago) resulted in about 150 texts from scammers in the first few hours. They were all from a limited number of sources (could tell by the ridiculous wording of the responses). It was so overwhelming that I had to edit the ad to remove my phone number just so i could use my phone again. If you’re on the internet, then you have email - so if you want a specific truck, there is a means to contact the seller - and, unfortunately, nowadays, sellers have a compelling reason to not include their phone on ads. Often sellers will no longer give their phone number out until you email in order to avoid this very problem. The phrase “what is the world coming to?” comes to mind. It just stinks.

63 C20 $2500
Truck looks very straight and original, although I'd hate to see the bed condition with all the crap just rotting in there for decades. With any luck, maybe it actually preserved it! |

Re: Post your 60-66 craigslist finds
Very first year for the Custom Camper option, and compared to subsequent years, relatively few were made. One year only emblem whereas the 66 emblem carried thru 68. It’s not necessarily worth much more because it’s a Custom Camper (maybe a little though), but it is not an everyday find. And it didn’t last long.

Re: Post your 60-66 craigslist finds
Oh don’t get me wrong, I like a big block too! - just my personal preference to have the original 283 or, better yet, 327. Ad did mention that it was a 396 out of a 66 Chevelle.

Re: Post your 60-66 craigslist finds
Thanks again Jocko for finding posting these custom campers, most on this site don't seem to be interested in 3/4 tons, but some of us know the value to nice comfort and convenience options in one package.

Re: Post your 60-66 craigslist finds
you're welcome! You know I like the 'ol Custom Campers...
the bed on the 65 is in excellent shape (rockers and fenders notsomuch), and interior is very intact - only saw one little rip down by the seat slider knob). Don't see many original seats in this condition Nice interior. Thanks for posting the new link 67swb72klb. |

This one almost rates it's own thread. Hopefully someone buys it and posts the restoration. I will deliver this within 500 miles of Idaho 83501 For free. It does run and drive nice. 1964 gmc carryall 3 door! Its marching #s 305 4 speed from the factory. Coach motor company custom build this since suburbans didn't even have a 3 door option until 1967. It was build it spokane wa, went to the colville Indian reservation for 40 years, down to vegas for 20 and now it's back in Idaho. Clean title in hand. Runs, drives nice. Low geared but suprising peppy. Just flushed the tank, changed the oil, pulled the carb and replaced all the filters. Lights and turnsignals all work. This is a custom made very rare suburban that is a c30 one ton extended. This is very rare and The body is above average condition. None of the doors sag and all **** nice I have brand new weather stripping for the doors I have yet to put on. I have tried to take as detailed picture that I can message you. 1960 1961 1962 1963 1964 1965 1966 Call George

This was a $2,000 craigslist find from about seven years ago.
As found. After some elbow grease.
