Re: What did you do to your truck today? Chapter II

I bought a HF Powder Coat system a few weeks back. I have been playing with it for a few days now and this is what I'm getting. I wish I snapped a picture of the A-Arm before I blasted them. Although these are 2 different arms, the effect is the same.

Pictures aren't the best...

Is it the best system around, Absolutely not, Is it worth the money, and fun? HECK YEA!

Re: What did you do to your truck today? Chapter II

today I cussed at my truck for the better part of 3 hrs. Apparently no nut that I own will fit the wiper motor mount for the transmission arms. apparently Jesus himself crafted this specially sized nut out of gold and other mythological things because ive been to the hardware store four times and no luck.. If anyone knew the correct size and or specs that would be great!

Talking Re: What did you do to your truck today? Chapter II

Installed the new(est) water pump, put on the fan with a new fan clutch and put 2 hole-plugs in the intake. Then I pulled out the grimy, old P/S pump and brackets - sprayed, scraped, sprayed, wire-wheeled and cleaned some more... Then primed, painted and bolted them on.. along with new motor mounts. Filled my oil filter with oil and screwed it on...

Just curious. How much did you pay for the Vortec heads? Local junk yard here has them for $65.00 ea. But I'd have to have a machine shop rework them.
