I wish except for the paying for gas part, it's a 350/350 set-up with a edelbrock intake, HEI, and true dual exhaust. P/O was a master of Disney technology so I've had to fix some of his Mickey Mouse repairs. sheet metal is in good shape exception of cab corners and a few dings all very repairable.

Re: How about some pictures of '73-'87 short beds

I posted my truck in here before, but I just got finished with the drop, so here it is again. 4/6 drop from western chassis. 2.5" spindles, 1.5" springs, 4" drop leafs, and 2" shackles. also installed belltech street performance shocks on all four corners. I like it, but I'm thinking about raising the rear up an inch. the shackles have two settings, 1" drop and 2" drop. What do you think?

I'd say drop the rear another inch. Loose the rake!

I would love to, but my ground clearance is an issue. It needs 6" to be able to be shipped. Once I get it, I might.

No, the truck is not here yet. It is still back home in oklahoma. I went to order the parts and the company would not ship to my APO box, so the only way for me to get them would be to give them my German address, which would cost me an extra $300-$400, so a buddy put it all together for me.

My truck should be getting shipped within the next few weeks, so by the time it gets here it will be toward the end of August, early September. It should of already been here, but there have been a few problems getting the truck to the shipping yard. When it gets here, I will get in touch and we'll go cruise or something. Know anyone else with these trucks that might wanna go with us?

I sure wouldn't raise it. I think they look best with just a slight rake; where the distance from the top of the wheel to the fender lip is the same front and rear.

The front drop is 3" Bell Tech spindles w/1 coil cut from the original sbc V8 springs & relocated upper shock mounts.

The rear has the HD spring option (8-leaf spring pack) w/a Western Chassis flip kit (for 6" drop) plus Bell Tech drop shackles. I've added Western Chassis c-sections w/home-made air-over-leaf brackets & a couple of small dbl convoluted bags for leveling the truck when I want to still use it as a truck.

In the pics, front wheel/tire combo is 20x8.5 w/5.25"BS & 255-40/20's. The rear is 20x10 w/5.50"BS & 295-40/20's.

It looks sweet but the drop combined w/the tall front tires did not work well. I can't get my knuckles in between the top of the tires & the wheel well & it was very apparent on the short drive I took it on this weekend. I swapped my ralleys back on for now.
