👍 You’d enjoy it here! I’ve always wanted to have a neighbor just like you.

Last night Mr Rogers took my daughter and I on a visit to a macaroni factory. Tonight it was a baseball hat manufacturer. I’ll share this one with her tomorrow.

Re: ChevyLand ‘The Truck Photo Tour’

I just got off the phone with Mr. Rodgers
He was all concerned (confused)
‘I’m worried about powder coating the wheels ‘
Wait a minute
Remember our deal?
We only restore Cheyenne Supers to original specifications (period)
Back to 1972, did they powder coat the wheels ?
‘No’
Did you powder coat the frame on this truck ?
‘No’
So , go find some spray paint
And
Make sure it is white

Re: ChevyLand ‘The Truck Photo Tour’

This truck was built on
A new friendship
And trust
.
I have seen it very few times
Since I left it in Arizona

Hopefully he can start figure out how to post pictures
And start sharing what the truck looks like now

Most of my pictures are when it was a beat run

Re: ChevyLand ‘The Truck Photo Tour’

Life is good

Yesterday when I woke up, , my wife asked
‘What are you doing today’ ?
I replied, ‘Playing with trucks’ !
Midway through the day I called to check in
‘How’s your day going honey’?
‘Great, Making the food for Super Bowl, tomorrow’
(She’s been a Bucs fan for 40 years)
‘Do you need me to bring you anything’?
‘No, I’m good’
‘Great, I’ll be home late tonight’
‘Eric, I can here it in your voice, where are you going’?
‘To pick up a truck’
‘Okay, be careful, see you when you get home’

Now, that is as good as it gets

Life Is Great..............!

Re: ChevyLand ‘The Truck Photo Tour’

I have no idea what you do for a living, but whatever it is you must have enough room for all the trucks you bring home that its perfectly fine with your wife. And she's obviously very happy with you and life in general from the comments you posted. So I just have to say congrats on being a good partner to her. Seems to be a bit of a lost art these days.

That brown K20 is a cool truck Eric. Love the old 80’s bias plys. Do you still have that light yellow K10 short super you got from Kevin? I’ve wondered a few times in the past what happened to that one. I saw it a week or two after kevin got it when I got my K20 from him.

Re: ChevyLand ‘The Truck Photo Tour’

Mister Rodgers really wanted to restore it.
He doesn’t get rattled very easily

https://youtu.be/aaa2MWXZL-w

When I told him I sold it
It was the first time I heard him swear
I can’t remember it it was
‘Gosh darn it’
Or
‘Oh Fudge’

Re: ChevyLand ‘The Truck Photo Tour’

I wish I had pictures of the guy I sold it to
We made a deal..
He was to fly into Oakland from LA
I loaded the truck on my trailer to meet him in the parking lot at the airport
The dude walked up
In a nice slacks, shirt, dress shoes
And
A man purse
He was nervous I was going to screw him
So he wanted to go to DMV to do the transaction
He jumped in and I drove him to Oakland DMV
By the time we got there he was starting to change his mind
And wanted it for less money
Nope
So I said, see you later
I think I drove him to a mall or something
Then he rechanged his mind
I was getting tired of It so I said
Show me the money
Most of it came out of the man purse
Then he started digging into his socks
And some holster thing he Had under his shirt.
All green
We drove back to DMV
Learned about his family
And he was going to frame off the truck
This was before COVID
I’ll never forget it, we waited in line for a while
Got to the counter and were helped by most beautiful black woman
I have ever seen in my life
But she was wearing surgical gloves.
Asked her why, but she wasn’t very nice
And just collected his money
By the time we were done
There was a tow truck outside
I rolled the truck off the trailer
Told man purse man to drive it over to the tow truck
Said he couldn’t
Because he didn’t know how to drive a stick shift
So I did

Never heard from him again
