Thanks for offer of help guys, but I think I will just sell it and let the new owner deal with it

Ya know, I don't think this engine will ever need 850 cfm, but ya never know if I get around to building a 400 stroker...

Maybe this weekend I can post up some pics of the new intake manifold from GM, still have to chase the threads to make sure it doesn't happen again

Re: PO has me PO'd

well if you're not gonna use that NOS Q-Jet, I have a 68 camaro that would love to have it!

Very nice work here, just looking at buying a K5 myself, read the whole thread today just looking at what parts may need to be looked at closely before I drop the money on one. I can see that the structural parts of the tub are something to REALLY look at before buying it. Fortunately I'm in Wyoming and they aren't too rusty here.

edit:

I can't blame ya for trying, but I do know of another for sale.Maybe when I buy my Rochester fuel injection, I'll be able to sell the slightly used NOS carb. I want to get the engine right before I switch over...

they go for around 400-500 on ebay, but there is one on our board!

Good luck on your hunt, thanks for hanging in there for such a long build thread, but one of these days it's gotta get done. That's what Kurt saysThanks for the comps and stopping by, from the looks of it, I'll be a while

seems like we need to talk bud

working on the cooling system, wifey said if my truck isn't ready for the 4th of July parade she's putting it in a shop to get done. That would really be embarrassing

Thanks Cam for checking out my thread, but I am unable to honor your request at this time. You see, there is an 18" thick stone foundation wall in the way, my shop is only 14'x18', and most of that is taken up by the Jimmy

Some day if this project ever sees the light of day....

Thanks Doug, I think it will stand out when I get the original dark metallic green back on the fenders and hood. PM me with how your son is making out!

Me too! The wifey is starting to complain about not getting a ride in it, something about me being to old to drive it

Re: PO has me PO'd

I forgot to give credit to Warbucket and 2003 Silverado for picking up my front bumper from 6T727T2. Great guys and that is the kinda thing that makes this board work, wouldnt even take gas money. Thanks guys!!!

Well, finally got the LEDs to work as they should, seems that you need the taillight bulb in the socket DUH! Weird wiring though, plus I just used a HD flasher unit

Love those...are they marquez designs or something else? Also, a quick detail suggestion...could you get some allen top stainless screws that you can polish up and install to keep it flush....I think that would take them up another notch..
