Re: Project: 1967 C10 Small Window
Thank you. If anyone has any questions on anything feel free to ask. I clearly haven’t been good about keeping this up to date lol...

Looks Great! I'd like to see how you ran your exhaust to get it outside of the frame, if you get a chance.

Re: Project: 1967 C10 Small Window
Thanks mines a stepside so I don’t have a ton of room to work with. Wanted to take it all the way out the back this time. Came up with this setup with some mandrel bent 2.5” the rear section is left uncoated now so that I can get it exactly how I want it once the bed is on (rotation and length).

Re: Project: 1967 C10 Small Window
Very nice! I understand about not having a ton of room, I'm going to build a better exhaust for my Blazer this winter. With an 11" shorter wheelbase and rocker boxes outside of the framerails, it's going to get interesting. I like your truck even more now that I see you are using a TKO 5-speed, I'm wanting to switch to that also.

Re: Project: 1967 C10 Small Window
Thanks! I will be starting work on the bed next weekend. Excited to see how the fenders sit with the wheels. I’ll be raising the bed floor slightly to clear the diff for a little extra low.

Re: Project: 1967 C10 Small Window
My son and I are digging this thread. Just binged though it all, and our hearts sank when we saw what happened. Keep up the great work on the rebuild!
I am slowly plugging away on my 68 Stepper, and hope it is half as nice as yours one day. |

Looks good! Starting to look like a truck again. You must be getting excited.
I'm curious where your shifter for the TKO comes up in the cab and which shifter you are using. Have you put the bench in there to see how close the stick gets to it?

Re: Project: 1967 C10 Small Window
Thanks
Thanks yes getting pretty excited... hoping once again to make LST but only have a couple months. I’ll try to post a picture of the shifter tomorrow. I think it’ll be perfect. The bench seat is not yet in, but the guy that spec’d it at American Powertrain also has a C10 with a bench and TKO600. |
