I should have the supercharger and head adapter next week. the pulleys and brackets I will order after I send some pictures of my engine to LSX Concepts to see if I have to change the AC pump brackets or not.
I see you decided to use the LSX Concepts brackets. I got the Gilmer belt drive setup for my LSA. Quality looks good. Will not be installing myself for a few months. Truck paint is delayed due to having the car I am selling going into paint first.

Re: 71 4X4 Frame off Restoration

I might have problem with the crank pulley fitting the front cross member is real tight.

Re: 71 4X4 Frame off Restoration

So I had to buy the complete bracket and pulley kit to make it work. The pulleys move all the accessories back about 1.5" and the supercharger pulley end up about where my stock truck pulley is now. witch helps with how tight my crank pulley is to the front cross member. Also I ordered there fuel rails do to conflict with the cooling lines.

Re: 71 4X4 Frame off Restoration

I thought that may be the case. Hopefully someone else needs the brackets you already have. You are making me question if I am going to have clearance problems at the front of my motor due to the wide gilmer belt setup I am using. Will know in a couple of months. Cool truck build.

If you can modify the passenger side fire wall for clearance for the coil pack then you can slide you engine back some more. This is where I have clearance issues. As my engine sits I can pass my finger in-between the fire wall and the right side coil pack and my crank pulley is about 3/16 clear of the front cross member. My cross member is angled back some older frames are more vertical witch would give more room.

Good to know. Have no problem clearancing the fire wall. I have the Pacific Fabrications crossmember. Have yet to even test fit the motor and trans (LSA/6l90) Have to wait until I get truck back now. Looking at the DT mid length tri-y headers. Seen some info that passenger side clearance is an issue with these as well. Want 1 7/8 primary's and full length usually hang to low for me.

Tried the pads she just chewed them up. used potty turf and that worked okay until she started missing the turf and peed off the side. mostly having issues at night when I'm at work peeing on the floor now and then.

Re: 71 4X4 Frame off Restoration

I worked on the truck for about 3 hours removing the front accessories and stock fuel injection. only part I did not remove is the main crank pulley I need removal tool to pull it so my nephew will stop by on his way home this week with the tools to pull it and install the new one. Mounted the supercharger and so far it fits no problems. You have to remove the top of the supercharger to bolt it down to the heads then reinstall the top. In the picture you can see the radiators that cool the in coming air before it goes into the cylinder. the adapter for the heads worked good you can see them in-between the heads and supercharger. the heads are cathedral type and the supercharger is square head type.

Re: 71 4X4 Frame off Restoration

Ran in to minor issue with the crank shaft no key way. So I ordered a crank pin kit should have it Friday or Saturday so I can move forward with installing the pulley kit.

Re: 71 4X4 Frame off Restoration

With work shutdown I have time to work on my truck the last couple days installing the brackets and pulleys for the supercharger. Another issue I ran into is the throttle body and drive by wire. This supercharger works best with 102mm TB or bigger and finding one that works with 2004 LS computer is not available. I ended up buying an adapter cable to convert my 8 pin to 6 pin throttle body and bought a 6pin 102mm TB. I found some 56lb injectors that save me $300.00 in stead of the one LS Concepts is selling. so far the brackets are fitting real good. 1 set I missed is installing the AC bracket first and had to remove the water pump to install it. to get the belts on I cut off about 1/8" off the front cross member as I only had about 1/8" from the crank pulley to the frame clearance.
