Yeah I know. You guys roll deep, especially at the Brothers Truck Show. I seen Johnoro (has the sweet red blazer) there Saturday. I see him at all the local shows and he is always very friendly and goes out his way to say hello if he sees me. He is a really cool guy.

It was neat seeing you and Parkwood at the show Bam.
I liked the black truck also and didn't notice the brow gone from the roof.

Thanks for the pics, Bam. The black TF looks great. The brow and the interior is very nice.

Kabwe i was wondering what was different on that black truck,i thought it was chopped but then the doors looked normal.Did it look good in person or did it look strange with out the eye brow?

The truck is chopped, the roof is sectioned, drip rails removed, and the eye brow removed. Pretty interesting stuff and the work is incredible top notched work. Personally I did not care for the look of it but I was completely impressed with the quality of the work. With the roof being section it gave the roof a flat look they took the radius out of it. They also beautifully sectioned the hood and tucked the bumpers beautifully. I hated the door mirrors but the work was second to none and you don't throw a benz away because it has a busted tail light.lol There will always be things that not everyone will like about a car or truck but the work on that thing was sensational.

I hope all my forum brothers and sisters are having a great 4th as well. I'm heading over BCToyBox's house for some BBQ later that dude can grill man. I can't wait.lol

Well I like things low so I knew no matter what I was going with drop spindles. Its about your personal taste. I was more concerned with not being low enough.

Most of the reputable companies will allow you to switch them out if you don't like how low your ride is with the the drop spindles. I have dealt with heidts and TCI and in the past they have allowed me to switch if I did not paint or alter the spindles in anyway.

My truck is with drop spindles and the lower a arms parallel with the ground. If you would like for me to measure I will do that for you. Just let me know what you want measured.

Now remember I have coil overs all the way around, but the lower a-arms are parallel to the ground. I don't remember the exact distance of the crossmember to the ground but is something like 4 1/2 in that pic.

Brothers truck show this weekend buddy are you taking your truck?
I gave up trying to get a roll call for those of us that are 47-59 truck owners. You 1960's truck owners know how to do it, I hear you guys are 60 deep this year. We 47-59 truck owners seem to be anti social.lol But we still have the coolest chevy trucks.lol

Re: Kabwe's aka Bam's build

Truck looks great! How low is the bottom (lowest part behind the front wheel) of the front fender?

It seems like the 50's owners finish their trucks and then don't come back to the site too much. Maybe they are all working on muscle cars.

Hey Kabwe, wish I lived close by I'd travel to the shows with you. Final got two other guys by me to buy 51 and 52 so we can cruise together. Love the stance of you ride. My 50 has 4-1/2" at crossmember and 5-3/4 at rear of front fenders, and I also run coilover up front...Jim

Sander,
Thanks man,

I'm running 18x7 up front with a 235/45/18 tire and 18x10 in the rear and a 305/45/18 tire.

Heres what it looks like in the rear with a 285/40/18. These are the wheels from my 55 210. I have more lip on the wheels for the truck it should look cool, at least I hope so.

That's cool you have some guys to roll with its nothing like it.

I think I will end up with the same as you 4 1/2 at the crossmember when I measured it I have my roll around wheels and tires on it. Its a 245/60/15. The cool thing about running coilovers is I can drop it a little more very easily. But I will wait to see what it looks like once I buy the tires for my new wheels.

Re: Kabwe's aka Bam's build

No one can give you a concrete answer to how low you car will be, because each ride is different. This is hot rodding we do what ever we have to do to get the look we want. All I can tell you is what I've done to get the ride height I have.

Engine weight, coil spings, installation, coil overs, etc all that stuff comes into play. You really can't go by others setup it can give you a guideline but I would not trust it other than to give me a guide. Mock up is everything.
