Re: 1958 Apache 38 Dually Dump Project

Then this happened...

We are kinda leaning toward a blue upper/silver lower...but the hugger orange would be fun too.

I'm not feeling the red though...

What do y'all think??

Re: 1958 Apache 38 Dually Dump Project

Tell you what Phil.....

When I saw the pics I thought Hell Yeahhh !!!!

Stars n Stripes flying flag design

Sadly not but the trucks curves all make any colour work due to the varying angles.

Of course, if I were to pop in for a visit....? I could give you a more informed opinion.

I guess if you cover the other colours and then look at ine at a time, walking by both indoors and out in the sun, the truck will dictate its own best look.

Good luck.

Re: 1958 Apache 38 Dually Dump Project

I like you like the hugger orange , probably because my 65 is going orange and with a white top . The blue and silver does suit the shape of your truck . But in the end it's your call

Red and black would be sweet. Blue and a silver would be cool too. Nice progress none the less though!

Re: 1958 Apache 38 Dually Dump Project

I am a dyed-in-the-wool red lover (as my build thread shows). And I usually don't like very many vehicles in blue. But I love, love, love the mid 60's Chevrolet Marina Blue. At the risk of annoying regular members who have seen me post this before, I have a photo of a 55-56 3200 in this color and I think it looks great. It would combine with a nice silver REALLY well.

Here it is:

PS: I've really enjoyed your thread. Thanks for being so good about continuing it.

Re: 1958 Apache 38 Dually Dump Project

I agree with the Chevy colors, but you know those are new Corvettes right not a '58 truck, the body lines don't match at all! LOL
Nice colors tho.

How are you thinking about the blue/silver combo? Above/below body line?

Hell, we have much better curves than a vette...those colors may finally have a chance to shine!!

We're thinking of breaking at the body line with blue on top, blue hood over and under, engine bay silver, interior silver with the top of the dash blue.
