What brand are those and where did you buy them?

Re: 67 GMC super custom build
They are motomaster from Canadian tire. Down in thee you won't have that store or brand probably. They are very similar to many other models. I like these because they are mechanical , no hydraulics.

Re: 67 GMC super custom build
I did a search on the CT web site and the only dollies that came up were these: #009-0099-8 where the vehicle has to be jacked up to get the dolly under the tire.
What's the SKU # for the ones you bought?

These were the ones I purchased. They were the last 4 in Saskatoon yesterday. https://www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/m...w.ds#store=912

Re: 67 GMC super custom build
I’ll search down here. I have seen a lot of dollies, but I like the minimalist approach they took on these. It looks like the moving part is just to set the width, right? Plus, since you’ve already put a C10 on them and they work, I don’t have to be concerned with that. I was unsure if they wouldn’t “spread” with a heavier vehicle.

Re: 67 GMC super custom build
Correct . It moves apart to slide around the tire and then jacks together to lift the tire. They work so smooth and bind free. It's nice to be able to move the truck by myself

I had these done for inserts for the 67 style derby caps. Turned out nice I think.

Re: 67 GMC super custom build
You can get those decals here. https://www.ebay.com/itm/37366367204...53.m2749.l2648
They don't require any trimming and the profile is pretty much right on. And they are aluminum not plastic! |

Re: 67 GMC super custom build
Needed some massaging at the front by the tunnel and on each end. That seems to be par for these floors.

Re: 67 GMC super custom build
I borrowed this roof from member sting Ray with the holes for the headliner in it. Im going to make a pattern and fab them into my roof.

Re: 67 GMC super custom build
I really like the keyless entry lock rings that light up but the fiber optic cables that led to them were very faint. Today I received the mini bulbs in the mail I hoped would rectify this and then would have no need for the optic cables here. Well here is the result. So much nicer and brighter!

Re: 67 GMC super custom build
Here's the roof skin I removed for my truck. Was a pain removing this nicely for reinstall but I did it. I'm excited that the roof section will be cleaned up as well. Gm should have covered the insides with something but I guess they aren't in the business of building vehicles for longevity.

Re: 67 GMC super custom build
You are right. They are in the business of selling new vehicles. When I worked in the warehouse every summer, we would scrap the parts that were 10 years old to make way for the new model parts. As a car guy it used to kill me to scrap such good stuff.

Re: 67 GMC super custom build
I ordered a new worm gear for my manual steering gear box from borgeson. This is 16:1 ratio rather than the 24:1 ratio the truck boxes used so less spinning of the wheel. Normally you wouldn't want his in manual steering but since I added the power assist it should be beneficial. This could be ordered in cars like camaros that were racing in straight lines and had skinny front tires.

Re: 67 GMC super custom build
I have the power assist on one of my trucks, it actually works better then the trucks with power steering.

Re: 67 GMC super custom build
That's good to hear. I've never had one driving with Power assist and everyone else almost removes it immediately so I was wondering if I was making a mistake keeping it but this truck is all about being different in a stock kind of way so I kept it .
