Forgot to show pic of fill tube installed. The hose on right is return line from unit up front, hose of left is my vent line from tank that is attached to 1/4" tube at top of fill tube.

After install of fill tube, started it up, and no leaks. Still need to change a few things thru the hand held, but I'm happy for now. I hope today the roads are dry and I can see how well it performs...Jim

I put a Marine Stereo with Blue Tooth on my Harley and I love it! I have over 17 hours of music on a memory stick so I don't have to search for stations. I'll take you up on that ride as SOON as I can get a chance to visit your area again. I enjoyed our last visit maybe we can work it to have a longer on next time.

Here's the last 3 pics.

1st pic This connection is for the hand held controller. Used it like this for a few starts. It can be unhooked and your ready to go. I decided to drill a hole in the firewall and move it inside. Don't have to have it on all the time, but it will be nice to check system from time to time while driving.

2nd pic Black wire above the note is line coming inside. (note is to remind me where I hooked the wires to at the panel)

Mark and I played around with the system today. Truck runs great, starts so easy. Had a few hic ups, but nothing that the tech people couldn't answer. I even called Leevon for some help, he was very helpful. Still need to learn how to get to some of the adjustments that can be made on the hand held control, but happy right now. I need to do about 100 to 150 miles and let it learn, which may make it even better.

I want to give a big THANK YOU to my son Mark for all his work on getting the truck finished. When he was working with me, his paying customers rides, weren't beening worked on.

Here's a couple shot of the shop with 3 jobs, gets a little tight. The black Firebird was finished up today, and went home. So his next customer is bringing his ride over tomorrow, keep that money coming in.

As I learn more about this FiTech unit I will update you here...Jim

Thanks lower. Just a little under $1,000. The main unit was $795.00 and because of the long wait for their $240.00 fuel sytem, I bought my pump, filter, hose, clamps, hard line and put it together...Jim

Hey Ray, actually I had it out late Friday, for a small cruise-in, ran good.

I had it out all day today, went to a Super Cruise at one of local churches, about 50 cars showed up (no pics). Truck is running good, but still needs some fine tuning. Need to talk with Tech people to find out how to get to some of the items. No good instructions on how to go deeper in the hand held unit.
Starts up great. I'm enjoying it but want it a little better. I may have to reset the learn system and try more adjustments that I had found thru videos on the net. I've only put about 60 miles on it so far. Will let you all know...Jim

Jim, off idle to Wot how is the acceleration? Your truck ran pretty good IMOP so hopefully this is better. Glad you still have decent weather for cruises, getting cooler in Iowa time to get to work. Wife wants me to do some work on her bike before I can start on the 64. I traded my Model A for a 66 Caddy DeVille 2 dor Htop. Will take some pics as soon as I can. It has 33,000 documented miles on it. Real Cherry car. Keep us posted on the EFI install

Hey Ray, congrats on the Caddy, sounds like a great car. Hit 80 here yesterday and today, should be nice all week. Will have to answer your question in two steps. Last night as I was coming home when I tried to hit passing gear, it started to either lose fuel, or elec issue. I also tried of idle to WOT and again around 3500 it was falling on its face. I was not a happy camper.

So last night and this morning I was going thru different forums about FiTech, found alot of useful info. So I decided to relearn the system. I went and reset to stock set-up. I had to go to the hand held unit and select Default V8 T195 and send to ecu then it downloaded to 100%, which was back to stock set-up. After that I then installed my set-up for my engine, etc.

Took the truck on a 108 mile trip, both city, highway, and a few off idle to WOT. No break up at 3500 rpm, just a steady pull to 6,000 rpm. A couple pulls from 0 to mid 70's and one 0 to 80 mph. See the attached pic. So I'm happy with this part. I still need to talk with their tech people about a couple changes I want to do, but need their input. I want the idle to drop off faster that it is, sometimes I can do a slow count to 10 before it goes back to 700 rpm. Also drop off faster when I release the gas pedal, when stopping at a light, etc. These are just small issues, but I want it right.

Hey Lee, I did find out today, that I can't make some of the adjustments, because the Go street unit (30003), is not as turnable as the (30002) unit, which was another $200.00. The tech I talked to said I needed to call back and get Bryce, who might be able to get me close to what I want. So I will try tomorrow to catch him it shop. I did check my mileage and it is lower than before, but that's because of the Mallory coil that I have with a Ballast resistor, which sometime feeds only 8 volt, and unit needs 12volt all the time. l will be checking on this also. Will keep everyone posted. I'm still happy with the unit, just needs a few improvements..Jim

Back for another update. Talk to Bryce at FiTech about three items.

Item number 1 was the vacuum tube going to the Fuel Pressure regulator. In one video I saw from FiTech it said leave as is open to ambient temp. When I talked to Bryce he said they are now shipping units with this hose attached to the regulator and then to unported vacuum (same as manifold) at back of unit. He said their engineers said this helped with some problems they were having.

Item number 2 was the problem with the unit tack and my gauge tack, not reading the same at certain times. The reason is the resistor in my Mallory coil to ignition. It drops the 12 volt to 8 volts and this will not work correct with their unit. Today both tacks read the same the whole day, even up to 70 mph. Bryce said he can't explain it, but it needs to be changed.

So now I have to buy a new ready to run distributor and coil, remove the old resistor in my line and hook everything back up. I will run as is for right now and order a new dist. in a few days...Jim
