Re: Project: "just a little rust repair, turned LS2 swap"

Just read through almost the entire build. GREAT LOOKING TRUCK MAN!!!

Have you had any paint effects with the side exhaust? I'm looking to do it but don't want to discolor the paint. Any tips would be super helpful!

Thats great to hear! and thank you!
As far as the side exhaust goes, it is actually stopped just short of the bedside. The exhaust tip is recessed back in about an 1". There is a small space between the 2, when running it actually pulls some air back through (somehow) the gap and surprisingly it keeps cool.

I think I saw you're truck on *****in Rides. When they were pulling the Cadillac convertible through the Goodguys winners presentation , it looked like your truck behind it.

Doesn't look like it, it was GMC. Here is a pic.

Your truck is awesome man! Congrats on the award! That is pretty awesome to earn that after building the truck yourself! Are you traveling around to different show to show the truck?

That blue GMC looks like Lolyin58's truck. Also a beautiful truck.

Thank You! and it really didn't seem right to win it, it's surreal. But yeah we've had it around to a few shows, the next one will be Scottsdale, AZ for Goodguys.

And I didn't realize he was on here but yes it is! I was in love with it.

Re: Project: "just a little rust repair, turned LS2 swap"

Got the truck all shined up and ready to leave for Goodguys Scottsdale this Sunday. Going out as a finalist for the Goodguys Truck of the Year Late! There are 6 other beautiful trucks and I'm not concerned with the outcome I'm honored enough to even be considered.

If you got the December issue of the Goodguys Gazette flip to page 96! It just came out the other day. It's a pretty crazy feeling to see something like that!
