can you bore it ?? i was looking and it looks like there is some kind of hollow chanel in there ?? i was thinking i might have to get a holley intake that is already the right size ??

i guess my thought is what is the purpose of having the bigger barrels if the ones in the intake are smaller ?? the hp side of building cars is the side i am least familiar with... so if this isnt the case please let me know . I am just trying to pull a little extra HP out of this motor , it is pretty much stock bored .30 with a small RV cam, this motor has been built so long ago i dont even remember what the size of the cam is, is there anyway to figure that out ??

On the cam , without tearing it completely apart and getting the grind #, with the right tools and pulling the valve cover you could measure the lift, the other challenge would be if the cam is too BIG it will not work properly with the tbi setup. I dont have enough knowledge to tell you more but suffice to say there is not enough adjustability for a large cam . Probably the best info would come from the fuel injection company ...I think. Maybe someone else with more knowledge could step in here . Street and Performance in Mena Ark might be a good source of info also

Silver is one of my favorite colors. Ad some nice striping to break up the silver and it will look sweet. What color you going with on the interior.

it will be red, i have had the idea since i started this build 7 years ago, unfortunately several people have actually completed theirs with this same combination so it wont be as rare as what it was when i first dreamed it up !!

Silver with a red interior looks great! The only reason mine is silver and red is cause thats how it was when I got it. But it looks great. Great color combo. Yours will look great! Way nicer than mine! I've got like four or five different reds inside my truck.... Go with what you want.

I wouldn't say it's mainstream.......

I remember the truck I have now back when it was a longbed. I was in my junior year of high school and it was silver and red back then. That was like 10 years ago.

Well for all you young uns on here - In the 70's, if you wanted a silver car, the only interior color option was red, unless you special ordered it and waited a few months. I remember when I was a kid, I never liked that color combination. Maybe because every silver car had s red interior. Anyway, now I love it. Things change when you get older.

I doubt that.....not on your part, but mine.(I'll be guy saying I have one of those at home) There just projects.... And with a new baby on the way! I have a feeling it's going to get a lot slower for a bit.

It shouldn't break through the walls of the bore much if at all. You are only going from ~47 mm to 50 mm but it makes a big improvement in air flow with the area increase plus the lack of turbulence at the transition will help increase flow too.

After hearing what you are wanting to use it on for the money involved in getting that intake match bored to the throttle body so it can make the most power possible you are better off using a different intake with your engine. A carb intake with a TBI adapter will work much better on your non-TBI engine, especially if you have even a mild cam. That intake is really designed for the swirl port TBI heads that don't flow much air at all and the very tiny TBI cam. A better flowing head with a mild cam will be held back by that intake.

wheel tubs are looking good. I love it when you open the hood and everything is smooth and you dont see the wheels and tires. Your doing a great job keep working hard.
