Welcome to the board droppedc_class! Stick with it, you've got a great truck coming together. Many of use feel the same way, money is tight and progress is slow.

Re: How about some pics of bagged C-10's
nothing special, monster notch 10" set to tuck and lay frame with 22" under back, front stock A arms with bags and 2" drop spindels.. lays frame all the way around with stock front end. 8" double conv bags... so all the way up can still tuck over 1/4 of the 20"

Re: How about some pics of bagged C-10's
Thanks for the words of encouragement guys!!
Gotta order a disc break kit & lines for the rear & start checking around for a 5.3l engine and 4l60 trans. out of a 05 or 06 chevy, going that direction with the drivetrain since I sold my other engine. Heres a pic of it mocked up before it was taken apart to have the frame sandblasted, and the rest of bodywork and primer done

Re: How about some pics of bagged C-10's
im running half inch copper all around with 3/8 dump and half fill but i slowed it all down cause i would hop like 3 inches before i drilled pipe plugs with an 1/8 hole for the dumps and put a pipe plug with a 1/4 hole in the fill. and the balls are for dragging the spark like crazy and are easy to swap out and only cost 9 bucks. i have 700 miles on it in 3 weeks. and its been very good so far i should do a build up wright up cause its been a full resto mod for 3 years i built the frame when i was 17 and and now im 21. i got about 15 grand in it everything is new and built by me. its so much fun.

Re: How about some pics of bagged C-10's
If you weren't running the bags on the trailing arms would there be a reason to keep them? Couldn't you just run the 3-link and do a bag over axle and eliminate the trailing arms? Just thinkin here because we're getting ready to do my sons and am trying to decide if a 3 link or 4 link is better. |
