Picked up a nice console from board member Zoomin. It is Parchment now but i'm 99.9% sure i'm going to change it to black. Plan on running 71-72 buckets with Black/White houndstooth. For now i'll just put it in storage with the rest of the interior parts I have that I won't need for a while

Hey Keith, glad to see it arrived safe and sound, unscathed from the Brown Gorillas.

Now that you've received it, odds are about 99.9% that I will need one like that again. I had decided I was going to keep it until you decided you wanted it.

As far as the seats are concerned, I'm running buddy buckets in my 71, so we will balance each other out.

Lol I hate ups too, you should have seen me yelling at the guy who unloaded my wheels You did a good job packaging it so it didn't get damaged. You should have kept the console if you were thinking about using it. I assure you it will be well taken care of, just will be a different color

Shawn I don't have anything yet, I'm just running 3/8" line with t's and schraders. Plan on eventually running Accuair but it's pricey and don't need it yet. Will probably buy it next spring.

Re: Project "What was I Thinking" 68 SWB

I also have a quick update. After I bought the nice parchment console I came across a set of nice buddy buckets from member Truckmanloco. They need foams and covers but all the parts are there, they have new sliders and both seats flip forward. I couldn't pass them up so I have subsequently sold the console. Again another change but I am happy with my decision.

Buddies rock and are like the icing on the cake. Good move. On the shraders do you know if you can run at a low ride height?

Re: Project "What was I Thinking" 68 SWB

I'm sure you can just make sure you run a schrader per bag so they are idependently adjustable and when you turn corners the air doesn't cycle from bag to bag I only ran t's cause my frame isn't going anywhere and is easier.

Re: Project "What was I Thinking" 68 SWB

Today I did some paint work on the frame to fix some of the imperfections I had in it from the past 2 years working on it. Plus when I first painted it, I used Gloss Black Rustoleum Professional Series and really wasn't a fan of it being so glossy. So since I have removed the brake and fuel lines, i masked off the motor and transmission and sprayed it with some Rustoleum Semi Gloss. I think it looks much better now. I painted from the front crossmember to the rear cab mount. I'll do the rest of the frame as I install my dropmembers.

Talked to Nate last week, front/rear dropmembers are shipping out this week. I'm excited to get them. I don't care how long they took to build, they are worth it and I wasn't really ready for them anyway. But i'm ready now
