Re: PO has me PO'd

Jaros, I saw on another thread where you were looking for a set of valve covers w/ PCV hole, check out post #2 in this thread:

http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=308546

Can you use those as a pattern? The single hole side was where the PCV was, there was a rubber grommet in place. Let me know if I need to get some measurements, or ship these to you for use as a pattern.

Thanks John, I've been wondering what other people thought about those mirrors, I'm really going for the W/T look...like MSGross's. Don't no what color to paint the grille, since the body color will be flat white, not sure if gloss white will fit

Hey, how'd those little darlings like Christmas...Thanks for subscribing

After I saw 5150's in flat red, that sold me, but I needed a color that would go with my original Dark metallic green dash...still toying with the idea of a two tone, with '67 molding then the body color would be green with a gunmetal insert

Plus Flat White hides a lot of body dents

Let's see, 24 January 2009 Kurt didn't know something...That date will live on in infamy LOL...You've forgotten more than I know

Re: PO has me PO'd

Woke up a 3:30 AM, so I decided to head to the workshop...wires fit better thru the motormounts if you remove boot, per Accel- silicone spray. Finally got the rite set of wires, 3 attempts and had to buy locking boots separate

Waiting for the almost identical twin '68 to show up, Special K said how to identify OEM fender was by the crimping, should go to paint n/w

M&H has my engine harness to modify, electric choke, PS Alt. w/si connectors, tach harness

No, makes sense but I thought you were onto something with some kinda new plug end that's didn't require a boot.

I asked cause if I had a way to run nekkid wires on the inner plugs I would, I'm getting tired of burning through boots.

Re: PO has me PO'd

Did you get the new shortblock in there? It is looking sweet. I love the VC but worried about the PCV valve did you get that sorted out? Looking good, LMK how the covers go on the utilities, I have a set and wondered about going with a highlander insert to get the look right, but not be like all the other blazer buckets?

Thank you for your response and compliments...Shortblock will wait till next winter, unless I blow it up before. PCV is still in the design and build stage, in the meantime, will just vent to atmosphere, no internal pressure on seals. Thats why I bought the Offy's shorties, they have a good drain back design. Just bought a set of vc's from Tynee to study the workings of the factory diffuser.

Seats, another good question...looking how this pattern is designed it is a cheap imitation of rolled and pleated with a perforated design. I would like to have them made to function correctly...breathable, stitched in rolled and pleated. If I find the OEM fabric that could change...any ideas?, I'd like to hear them

Dayum, just got me a 20" moniter....what a difference, Ima different color blue. I feel like I'm sitting in the first row of the movie house

Indeed, you did. The weather has been bad enough to prohibit me getting them sent. Carriers still delivered here, but the PO was closed to customers. I spent yesterday under my wife's Jeep, and then under my house fixing the furnace, but they WILL go out by tomorrow morning, if it kills me.

That is some CLEAN routing on the wires. I need to investigate some routing like that, as I HATE having wires hanging all over the place.

Re: PO has me PO'd

I have found highlander material as well as houndstooth, not sure where the samples are that I got, but I'll try to find them. I am guessing with the material, I can just have a vinyl surround made up, they will resemble OE, but they will not have the scoll in them, but I don't think there are a lot of choices for the utility buckets.
