Killer truck. Would love to see a pic of the locking hubs if original.

...also since this is a second half '69 CST, would be interested to know if it had a rearview mirror, headliner or cargo light.

Re: SPID Picture thread?

Man down seeks help. I know I will probably never know the right answer, but my 72 Chevy step-side did not come with a SPID. The original bench seat was also replaced, so I think my only hope is to find someone with the SPID my truck may have had. I know per the V.I.N. that my truck is a 72 Chevy that originally came with a V6 motor, manufactured in Fremont, Ca and was number 176893. Does anyone have a SPID close to that? Thank you

You can check out post 65 here for a few SPID pics.

But do you realize that even if you found a spid for the next numerical VIN after your truck, it wouldn't tell you anything about your truck? Each truck could be very different from one to the next.

This was a nice ride. I only have this door and it’s missing the wood grain. Not sure where I came up with this, might have come from Livrat

Re: SPID Picture thread?

Note mine, but somebody needed a real puller! 5.14 in a C 20? This ratio does not even come up as an option in a C 20, but was a standard ratio for a C 30.

Re: SPID Picture thread?

Not a lot of options, but enough to make this a car-like driver. 71k miles and garaged show clearly in the condition of the SPID and glovebox door.

Mine: 1970 GMC. Original color (probably an older repaint), long bed with tool box and factory air.

After posting I noticed my three digit w/base number was 000. Most every other one I have scene on here is 127 or 115. What does that number indicate?

For some reason GMC usually had 000 in that spot.

Re: SPID Picture thread?

What do you do when the Spid is mutilated but the truck is basically stock?

could you build a reasonable Spid based on the contents of the C10 if period correct and intact?

Case in point is a 1967

Re: SPID Picture thread?

Theoretically yes and you could get pretty close.
