The snow is finally melting!!!!
It was 45 degrees here today!
I went up to the parent's, popped the garage door, pulled off the cover, and reached in and turned the key and started the biotch!...It started effortlessly!
Fuel injection is a wonderful thing!
It won't be long now!!!

I know that many of you will have no idea what these photos are of, but some of you will figure it out quickly!
I have been going stir-crazy with all of the cold weather, and not being able to work on my truck, so I needed something to focus on to keep from going postal!

I can guarantee that it is the lighting & aluminum chips that make t look that way!!!

if you're making what i think you are... i need a complete set for that black dash on the utility bed. they would offset all that chrome and gloss black paint, perfectly.

Hello guys!!!
The weather turned to be in the upper 40's & sunny today, so I stopped up to the parent's place to goof-around with my truck for a bit...
As it worked out, it seems as though it was "Steering Wheel Saturday".
Here are a few pics of what I accomplished!
Actually, the shift lever is a billet specialties piece that I have had in my DD Astro van for years, and I traded it out today with the stock one...After a polish job of course!







This turned out soooo very nice, and I am so happy with the selection that I made!

It is something that came with the pile of parts that I received with this project...The nearest that I can tell, it is from a '91 Sub, but I am not positive.
I am purely guessing from the wiper delay module & research that I performed in order to make it work.

Now I am starting to realize why I haven't made more of these. The are a real pain in the a$$!!!


Seperated them with the saw, & machined the sides


And finally they look like something!
Machining is complete! Now I just need polish them!!!

Hey guys!
Today I had a chance to get a little time to polish the heater control knobs that I made. It took a lot longer to polish them than I thought it would, but they are finally done!!!

And paired-up with the ashtray handles...


It looks as if I need to make another ashtray handle! LOL!
I will need to add this to my list of things to do!

those look great! another thing that would look awesome, is if you can do the Chevrolet for the glove box! the script for it would be the hard part I think, besides finding away to get it to hold down! unless you use 3 longer set screws Loctite them on the back of the aluminum piece to fit in the holes in the glove box, an get the rubber grommets that hold them in! but that's just my thinking, would be cool though!! or a 3m adhesive strip!!

Yeah, it would be cool to do the Chevrolet script, but I think that it would be easier produced using a laser and made from brass, then soldering studs to the back to retain it...But I personally do not have spare time like that!!!

They are just something that I make when I am bored, and can't work on my truck...I started working on these when the weather here was sub-zero, and I was going stir-crazy!!

After getting what I was told is a '97 Astro Van column at an auto jumble yesterday, I looked at your initial install from page 20 of your build and reloaded the pics, amazing the progress you have made and continue to make.
