Glad to finally see you on here LOW1TON. We all have admired your truck for some time now. I agree with Joe231 you need to make it to one of the get togethers so we can drool on this truck in person.

A tired warrior of the 1980s in a world of low profile tires, front wheel drive, and plastic bumpers, where people stay in their houses until snowplows move the offending substance from their paths, too helpless to travel without AAA and chains and salt, clearing their windows with longhandled brushes while gently stepping around in the snow trying to stay nice and dry.

Re: How about some pics of 73-91 crew cabs

LOW1TON,...
What's the specs on your suspension?
Did you use a "cab & chassis" rearend and SRW 1-ton front hubs to tuck those 22's?

LOVE your dually!!!

Re: How about some pics of 73-91 crew cabs

Thanks for all the comments on my truck, I am having a rendering done to show how the new paint job will look and also the new colors, but I will give you a hint it will look like a factory two tone paint job just will be in colors you could not get from the factory. Good to see you here Cheese hows your ride coming? are you still interested in my front doors? As far as my suspension setup goes, the front is a sectioned front crossmember where the bags mount, and custom tubular front and lower control arms both shortened to allow everthing to tuck, also running 1 ton front drop spindles from Bell Tech. The rear is the factory DRW 1 ton rearend that was narrowed to keep everthing tucking then there is a custom cantilever set up behind the rear axel. I believe there is a 10" step notch with 1/2" steel plate spaning the top for future towing options. I have 3-5 gallon air tanks and run all 8 gc valves 1/2" size, also running 2 viair compressors. Air ride works great thanks to Hills Hot Rods for all the great work. My wheels are 22" Alcoa classics that were brand new when I bought them and I had the face of both back wheels machined down about 1/2" each to help with tucking them in the back. Joe231 would be awesome to come to one of your meets just let me know when and where.

That truck is way too sick! I would be scared to change it, I think it is perfection.

Re: How about some pics of 73-91 crew cabs

It is all factory supension chevrolet suspension in this picture, however it is all new, new coil springs up front and new leaf packs in the rear, new shock at all 4 corners, the rear leafs also have the factory overload leaf in them as well, the tire size overall was about 30" tall front and rear.
