Re: What did you do to your Blazer/Jimmy today?

Finally cobbled enough parts together to make a complete rear bench seat for the 72 Jimmy. Now to reupholster them to the original vinyl next and paint.

NICE! Mine looked like that a few weeks ago, but green instead of orange. More work than I anticipated.

Got the Air Conditioning serviced. Blows much colder now. Pulled the glove box insert and replaced a bad blower motor rely. Blows cold and has "Hi" on the fan setting.

Thanks! Would you believe those are vinyl wrapped? Was a real pita trying to get the paint to adhere to the chrome despite scuffing so tried vinyl and am pleased.

Re: What did you do to your Blazer/Jimmy today?

Crazy details; New seal for the wiper motor to the firewall and seal between the actuator arm and arbor, both OE quality from Heartbeat Chevrolet here in Olympia, WA. New wiper washer pump, all new hoses and fluid tank, new switch, knob, and interval wiper unit. Wow, $250 or so just for wipers, PLUS the arms and blades. Details are not cheap!

Re: What did you do to your Blazer/Jimmy today?

Replaced my door strikers this weekend. Four bolts and now my doors open and close like butter. Didn’t even think it was that bad until I compared my driver and passenger sides.

Test drove with me LED dash lights and H4 LED bulbs installed in a pair of Hella H4 headlight conversions. The results were impressive.

Re: What did you do to your Blazer/Jimmy today?

Did some metal swapping over the past few weeks...and cleaned up the frame while I had the space.

All new body mounts and bolts were completed a few years back and measurements before and after were spot on. Waiting on the new press on door seals before I do any final panel fitment.

Re: What did you do to your Blazer/Jimmy today?

Well, I finally made it back to TX to see the Blazer my wife and I bought off ebay a few weeks ago. I'm working in CA and only make it back once every 3 or 4 weeks. Anyway, the body was rougher than I expected, but savable.

After a carb swap and replacing the rubber hose from the tank to the fuel line, and from the line to the fuel pump, I got the Blazer running and even drove it around my yard. Got the turn signals and brake lights working, too. Unfortunately, no dimmer switch or connector, so no head lights. Going to replace the tires and brake soft parts on my next visit over Labor Day and drive it and see how she does on the road.

Hope the video works

Re: What did you do to your Blazer/Jimmy today?

Took out the front differential and complete axle housing.

I plan to put in 410 posi-traction gears, and rebuild the entire unit.

I'll put it back in while the 350's out getting stroked.
