"or reach my beer." Bam must be a pretty big guy, I only fill up half that area when I settle in like that.

How do you hold your patch panels in if you don't have access through the backside? I am finding out that my patch panels are still alittle low when I am welding so when I grind the down them down they, I still can't get them to sand down were they will be smooth.

Yeah I've been known to reach for a beer or two while I'm working. BTW I'm a small guy only 5'7 but built like a tailback. Oh how I miss playing football that's why I got into cars I like to use hammers and smash stuff.lol

Sometimes I just hold it by hand and just tack it in and other times I use welding magnets. But it is all about panel fitment before you start welding. Have you tried welding magnets like these?

You can get them from Harbor Freight for really cheap and in different sizes.

Yes, but because everything is not flat and has a small curve to it they are hard to use.

Do you have any current pictures of your firewall? Very interested in the side portions to see how you tied it all together?

I Haven't had problems with them but you have to be sure everything is where you want it. I bought a set of the panel clamps but I havent tryed them out yet.

I have not had anything to post, I'm priming and blocking and its boring stuff. I have ordered my wheels and I can't wait until they get here. They say it will take 4 to 6 weeks but I'd bet they will take longer.

No I'm not sick (other than being mental) thank goodness and I appreciate you asking.

I figured you were being anti-socialable.
The blocking and sanding for a novice like me is what I need to learn.

What! Anti-social.
Man I called you a couple of times and you never returned my call. I chalked it up to you being a butt head so I did not call anymore.

Yeah the wheels are ordered and paid for so now its a waiting game and don't ask about the cost they were expensive at least with my budget. You only live once as far as we know right.lol

Re: Kabwe's aka Bam's build

We've talked wheels and tires before, and we're usually thinking the same thing. If you had to order them, then you requested a specific backspace. Please tell me you went with big/littles and not anything larger than 18"

If it's what I'm thinking, it'll take that truck to the next level. You can PM me with the info. Your secret is safe with me.......
