Re: Post Your Ride 67-72 Trucks
Here's the first step, donor truck, extremely rusted out but under the hood lies an original (to the best of my knowledge) 396cid 325 hp big block. the truck it's going in is hopefully coming home next weekend. Great site so far, looking forward to this!

Re: Post Your Ride 67-72 Trucks
I never find any big blocks just setting around. Some people have all the luck. I did run across a '56 F100 project on a Camaro stub that had a fresh 454 in it but the $6000. buy in takes it out of the just setting around catagory for me.

Re: Post Your Ride 67-72 Trucks
Here's my daily driver, Work-In-Progress, 67 LWB C20. Next steps include 3.5/5 drop including new brakes/spindles/rear end, 16x10 rally's, and 295/50 16's all the way around. Need to replace the HO52 rear first...

Re: Post Your Ride 67-72 Trucks
That's a nice truck and I like the wheels that you have on it now. Don't you think that 10" wides on the front will stick out too far? I'd do a 6 lug disc brake conversion with the drop and keep the wheels.

Re: Post Your Ride 67-72 Trucks
The wheels are alright, but only 7" wide, I can't get the lower/wider tires I want (and they're 8 lug). If I use a rearend from a 73-87 C10, which I've heard is 1.5" wider, will the front "stick out too far", meaning stick out further than the rear?

Re: Post Your Ride 67-72 Trucks
so an update to what i posted a couple weeks ago in this thread, this is my truck now:
what you don't see here is the 2 dents a deer gave me two days after having it back on the road. Nothing major, and they'll come out. still so pissed about it though that i won't take any pics of the dents :p |
