Re: Die-cast 67-72

There are a few versions of that`76 Stepside model.Matchbox has what they are calling a`75 Stepside that there are two versions of so far, green w/white and a purple. There is another small scale I`m not sure who makes. It just came out and it`s clad in`69 Indy Pace Car paint.Ertl made a 1/25 scale die cast way back that I have two versions of.I don`t remember if I ever showed mine or not.

Re: Die-cast 67-72

Ok. I thought you were talking about the models you put together.
Here's the two Matchbox that special-k was talking about. 1:64 scale. They also have a black wrecker which they make in several different colors, but I only have the black.

Re: Die-cast 67-72

Good looking collection. What did you do with the extra set of red von dutch rims? Those would look good on either one of the actual high profile trucks.

If I run across two on my quest, I will let you know.

Re: Die-cast 67-72

The top and bottom on the left are original High Profiles. I bought several extras of the High Profiles, cut them open on the back side; swapped wheels/chassis and put them back in. I'm going to try my hand at modifying the extras. Right now I'm working on making a duelie, using the rear fenders from a Hot Wheels custom 69. I cut the fenders off with a dremel tool. Haven't figured out how to attach them though. Maybe some JB Weld?
I'm also working on some extended cab Hot Wheels custom 69s. Not having much luck with those though.

Re: Die-cast 67-72

Yeah, I know what you mean. Most of mine are stored in boxes. Heres a pic of the box the yellow/white comes in. (courtesy of Fleetside Paul) Do you have the black with flames?
They all came out around the same time a few years back, except for the High Profiles which came out last year; so the yellow/white and black/flames are really hard to find loose and even harder to find boxed.. The 5-Deep has the same trucks/cars, they're just painted different colors.

Re: Die-cast 67-72

chevy72tk,
Yes I know. Thanks though.
I have a couple of old RC trucks if anybody is interested in them.
I'll take $500.00 for all of them. I have more than that in the yellow Clod Buster.

It has a 4 channel radio. It will crab steer the hood comes up has real ball bearings in everything that moves. All the lights are functional. I have chargers and a little tool box full of spare parts and stuff.

This blue one is just straight out of the box I built it to play in the sand with at the beach. It's great fun.

Here is my dragter. This truck has a black magic motor in it. When I built this truck that was a top end motor of the day like 10,000 RPM motor. This truck will fly for a electric.

Re: Die-cast 67-72

I bought about 5 of these just to have them for projects. They have been sitting in the attic for who knows how long.

Here is the underside that will be the chassy for the new body.

Just ordered two of the 72 chevy truck bodies. Should have them by Friday I hope. They come with the front back and side marker decals. That means all I have to do is paint them to match my truck. I'll keep this updated as I go.

Hey WES. Did you see that Marks-Collectibles10 on eBay is no longer a registered user? This is the guy we bought the JL Blazers from and had problems with.
Bump for your post also.

Any idea of the cost to take one of the 72 truck bodies and make it RC? I would love to have one, but I imagine the truck shell is the cheapest part of the entire project.

Re: Die-cast 67-72

Look on your local craigs list and see if anything is for sale or local paper pawn shop.
Yes the body is the cheapest part.
