Recently acquired this '68 K-10...
It's a '68 with a 90's 350, granny 4speed, 205 case and 3.73 12 bolt rear, not sure about the front axle yet. Plan on converting it to a Turbo350 auto, and power disc brakes on front. ...it was "customized/restored" by Cracker Customs some time in the past....they did a "Cracker" of a job on it, too. Anyways, I'll be hitting you guys up for knowledge on parts real soon ! Steve |

Re: How about some pics of your 4x4
I dont have alot of pics but wouldn't want to take up alot of space but the bumper, I built. Its made out of 3/16 and 1.75 od pipe, will try to get a better one of it. It has a 350 .60 over with 4 speed and np205, its just a half ton with a 6 inch and 36 inch iroks. sprayed it with durabak bedliner coatings the smooth finish. I use to wheel it pretty hard so its nice that stuff wouldnt scatch. I plan on to possilbt do a 5.3 or 6.0 swap with maybe throwing in a automatic. and going 3/4 ton on it. Also redo the paint and part of the cab and put a regular bed back on and really just clean it up and drive it!
heres a then and now Last edited by archie87; 11-16-2010 at 04:41 PM. |

Re: How about some pics of your 4x4
The s10 is a 84 origanly 2wd. Tore it down and now as a 305 th350 and np205 with d44 and 14 bolt, lock frount and rear. Leaf spring frount with hydro assist steering and 4 linked in rear with coils. 125 inch weelbase with 39.5 iroks and full exo. Will be linking frount and putting in a tbi 350 and possibly shorting to a 118 or so wheelbase because last weekend I toasted the motor and carbs suck, and a bent a frount leaf pretty bad, and broke 2 axle shafts, good reason to link up!

I mostly use mine to go to remote places to pick up projects.
this is a picture of a load, and a picture of the road I had to drive to pick it up.

Here is my winter driver. 4" suspension and 35s. 205 Transfer. Going to put an 87 GMC body on it come spring time since the cab is really rusty. Maybe a posi rear as well.
