No, hard to get free time these days.
Sold the Intro's but that is all that has changed. Plan to replace them with a 22/24 combo some time in the future. |

Re: Project '86
I used a grinder with a flap wheel. Its like a grinding wheel but its a bunch of pieces of sand paper layered on top of each other. just take your time and dont be too aggressive.

Re: Project '86
Finally got some work done!
Made my motor mounts and got the motor in. Got one mount 90% welded on and ran out of wire so I set the other one in place with the motor in to make sure my alignment was right. I will need to rework my tranny crossmember a bit but that was expected. ![]() ![]() ![]() Once I get it all lined out the motor will come back out to one day get all cleaned up and painted. |

Re: Project '86
Excellent job on the mounts, it looked like it was going to hit when you mocked up your stearing. You did an excellent job of avoiding that problem.

Re: Project '86
Maybe... I pulled out the steering to give me more room to get the motor in. I will have to see what happens when I put it back in.

Firewall is trimmed and motor is in. Welded up the transmission mount but forgot to make sure it was centered first so I have to cut it off and re do it
