Looks great man! My wife frowned at me when I told her I got some shorts that match my houndstooth seat at car shows

Very nice. The pictures are great, but still don't "do justice" to it.

Top job, did you use the old foam or new foam?

Thanks a lot! Thanks the original foam was in pretty good shape but I had to replace a few areas. There wasn't enough foam overall to fill the covers like I wanted so we had to add a little on the seat back and a lot on the bottom. Thanks a lot! Thanks. I actually drove the truck to Oreilly, autozone, and some other places to apply for a job and I'll need to take some summer classes as well. Thanks! Quote:

Re: Project: 1967 C10 Small Window
Do you have any pictures of the foam repairs that you did prior to putting the new cover on? What type of foam was used?

Beautiful truck. I was thinking about the same seat cover for mine. How do you like it?

Re: Project: 1967 C10 Small Window
I can tell you about the foam. It came from Bowen Foam & Fabric located in Houston. David Bowen can help you, but it comes in precut lengths. On David's truck, we used a combination of 2" and 1" pink foam which I would call medium density foam. They have additional thicknesses available but we used a combination of 1 & 2". Bowen also sells a black foam in different thicknesses but I would call it high density foam and it would be used in situations where you had to fabricate your own seat with a plywood base, instead of using the factory seat spring as done on this truck. This truck was also a little different in that the original seat foam was used as a starting point, with the new foam glued over the top to fill out the brand new (and very nice) seat cover. I believe David67 referenced the supplier in an earlier post. Good luck and I would suggest leaving the seat cover out in the sun until the last minute to make it as plyable as possible.

Re: Project: 1967 C10 Small Window
Thanks for the info 62LS1. My original bench seat has been recovered once and the foam seems to be in nice shape but I plan to change the seat cover on it eventually. I see a bunch of recovered seats on here that don't look quite right and I assume it's due to inferior foam work, seat cover or installation. David's seat looks great and I hope to be able to replicate his results. Actually, my current seat cover installation looks great but the material and color wouldn't have been my first choice.

Truck turned out awesome How do you feel about the 4 speed? I'm thinking about changing mine over to a 5 speed but I like that it came with the sm420.
