Cool. Nice job.
Don't they have to bake a ceramic coating on?

Not sure exactly what he did but its supposed to be a 5 year coating. It just the roof got the coating as the rest of the truck was cleared by the previous owner.

My Dad had a '73 Lincoln Continental about that color [Deep Bronze Green in Fordspeak]. It had a Tan vinyl top. He got the top refurbished in the late '70s.
Looked great. I sold it in 2002, after the A/C gave out and the electric windows failed.

Re: Sideways Saturday

We went to Village inn for breakfast this morning before going to a local Church carshow. My Daughter took this picture and posted it on facebook. She is a server at VI and went to the parking lot with a coworker that wanted to see our truck.

Re: Sideways Saturday

I don't know how to do an edit to add on my post and include a picture so I apologize for bringing this thread up to the top again but I really want to let you people know that I really like this truck!

Wish mine was a 4X4 but I'm just happy enough with the truck I do have.

Very nice pjmoreland.

Thanks! This is my first 67-72 K10. It's been an interesting experience. It drives quite differently than a C10. You've got a sharp looking stepside. I like that shade of blue.

You would not believe how many people tell me they like that color blue, the guy that sold me the truck over 30 years ago said his grade school daughter picked out the color.
I just needed a quadrunner hauler and I didn't care what color it was but I like it well enough now.
Thank you.
Just got back from the hardware store with 4 sections of galvanized steel gutter and amazingly enough I arrived safely with 4 sections of gutter.

Have a happy Sideways Saturday ya'll!

ETA: When I was securing the gutters I grabbed some strings and tape through the passenger side door and didn't fully close it, so I drove around 20 miles with the door on the safety latch but the door didn't fly open so I had a good day anyway.

Re: Sideways Saturday

Was in the Safeway parking lot getting groceries and a gentlemen stopped by and told me about his 4 X 4 GMC pickup from this era that he had to sell because of medical reasons.
Anyway I thought I'd let you guys know how much fun it has been owning this thing all these years.

Re: Sideways Saturday

I bought this when I was 16. Back then, it had more paint and I had more hair...
We're both a lot older now.

So this was shot in a Safeway parking lot. I bought it when I was
23. I was clean shaven then, now I have a grey beard.

Road trip up by the Sierra Buttes today. Had to deal with horrific stop and go traffic through the town of Forest City however!
