Put the tailgate, tail lights, hidden latches, and rear bumper on last weekend.

Look at what I had made for my truck. Since my last picture posts have been a TKO500 and a 350 block...well, this gives you an idea where this will end up.

Glad you like. Originally I was going to do "fast" and "f*cking fast" but I have kids so I decided to be more correct about it.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

Driver door swapped out today. Nice to have a rust free door installed over my original which need inner/outer lower sections welded in. Fixed the broken window regualtor issue that popped up Monday too. Ill get some pics up later. 2hr start to finish and alignment/fit are great.

It also upgraded my windows to metal framed.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

Well, pulled my BRAND NEW carb off my truck today. Taking it back to Autozone to do an exchange for another new one. So I get my first one, bolt it on. 30 miles of driving it starts seeping fuel outta the carb gasket and accelerator shaft. DANG! And that was a BRAND NEW carb! Wish me luck! Hoping my exchange carb will work!

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

Put the bed back on my truck. After I picked it up off the driveway. We had a windstorm, and it blew backwards off the sawhorses. It's bent at the bottoms, and the taillight panels, but it could have been much worse. My heart sank when I came home and saw it pancaked on the driveway. It actually looks ok back on the truck.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

It will work out. Looks better now that the bed is (temporarily) back on the truck. It sat on those stands for three months while I worked on it. Big thunderstorms, etc. No problems. One wind storm with 50mph gusts knocked it over. I did learn that it is much easier to put the bed on from the side with the engine hoist. Didn't even move the truck. I took it off the back last time, rolling the truck out from underneath. I should have put it on myself a couple of weeks ago. You know what they say about hindsight...

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

How about some Corvette manifolds and a hole for a manifold fill pipe drilled into a brand new Edelbrock to go with that 355 small block I posted a week or so ago?

Meanwhile the patient waits for the new plant.

Did I mention yet that my daily hay hauler is turning into a lumpy 4.56 geared, Tremec backed 3/4 ton long bed sleeper that will still haul hay and feed to our barn while being a stop light villain, push starting dragsters at the Vintage drags and burning up the drag strip on the weekend for giggles?
