The rack looks great. I like the shape. Sometimes they can tend to look squared off and bulky. I also like the wood grain.

Nicely done Sir..

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread (CLOUD 9)

Hey Mike... I know I am looking at your old Cloud 9 build but... I need information for the company you got the Chrome door Handles and tailgate parts from... I sent a email to the address you had on the thread and it was returned undeliverable... also in doing a search for the name I came up empty handed...

Any help would be greatly appreciated...

thanks...

Dan

I wouldn't recommend it, I spent a fortune rechroming them just to have them fall apart... had to replace them with repops , wasted $300

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread (CLOUD 9)

heared from a guy that used to restore jukeboxes that the metal they used on them wat a verry eclectic mix of mixed metals bronze and copper , basicly watever scrap metal they had laying near the smelter and if you needed to have those bits rechromed they needed to use a lower voltage then normally or risk having parts of the metal desolve / burn off during chroming

chevrolet never was known for using top quallity material in there vehices so the same thing might be aplicable for there cast pieces
i think they use a aluminium mix for casting some of the parts and i can immagine chrome flaking of that even when chromed the right way
