thanks shawn, im glad its looking as good as i hoped.

today i stopped by o reillys beforr school and bought a new fuel pump. figured i would just get a new one and not use the one on the 302. and i deicded to just get new motor mounts as well. i installed my new power steering gear box yesterday and it works good! i picked up my blasted parts yesterday and i got them primed and some painted. the alt brackets need to be painted on the other side and the same goes for the sheilds but ill bget that done today. i put the timing chain cover on since i painted it and it looks good just need gaskets. i also got the last freeze plug in and the area above the oil filter painted on the block. and i started sanding on the gasket surfaces for the water pump and timing chain cover. so today im going to finish the sanding and pick up my fuel pump and get that installed. heres a shot of the timing chain cover painted, installed and then the brackets before i sprayed a coat of paint

Thanks Cameron!

Yesterday I bought a new water pump and I picked up the new fuel pump I went home and installed the fuel pump and then I painted the water pump. I sanded all the gasket surfaces and got them ready. Today I'm gonna buy a timing chain cover, that way I can get the cover on and get the water pump on after that. Since I don't have the right exhaust manifold for the drivers side I'm just gonna make a bracket that mounts with the 2 first bolts on the ram horn and then it will come around and mount to the lower alt bracket. And when I get the water pump on I can put the brackets on and use a spare alternator and ram horn and just start fabbing up a bracket pics soon to follow

Looks killer though really are you going to accent any parts to it? Like black fan or original air cleaner?

Re: 1967 Chevy CST aka "the loud truck"

the 327 will go into the 67 chevy the end of this month.

ok so yesterday i got the cover on the gasket sealer came out beautiful.. probably the best ive done with gasket sealer so far! and after that i put the pump on loosley so i could look at what im gonna have to do with my altentator brackets. i also cleaned up the oil pan some more and then i realized i didnt have anymore orange paint.. so gonna hopefully get some today. i bought the oil pump and the pick up tube/screen. but the screen they didnt have so i should be able to come get it today. i also bought a new oil pump shaft retainer since mine was cracked. just waiting on that pickup tube/screen, oil pan gasket (1 piece) and intake gaskets. so i got another 40 bucks to spend before im done. didnt end up getting it off of the engine stand so i wasnt able to replace those freeze plugs or paint it back there. but none the less i do have progress. today in welding im going to use the templates i made to make a bracket to mount to the 69-72 manifold but at the same time mount to the 67-68 alt brackets. it should be fairly simple in design. 2 flat pieces of metal 4 holes drilled and 1 bend and whala! pics of that will come tomorrow probably. anyways heres yesterdays progress.
