Here's mine how I found it and how it sits today! A lot can change with a quick buff and a set of tires!

Re: How Many 4 Wheel Drive Blazers Do We Have?

Pretty standard install on 454.... I got it out of a late 80s truck and rebuilt it myself. I used the same motor mounts with the orig. small block brackets. I did have to grind the rt. exhaust manifold to get roughly 1/4" of clearance at the frame. I did the engine about 10 years and 3000 miles ago.

I bought this project roughly 11 years ago, got it running with the small block then upgraded to bbc. After having some fun with it out in the desert it was parked due to a blown rear end. I began body restoration about a year ago. I also changed out the rear end with a 14 bolt semi floater.

Nice clean 454 Rocket man, I just recently picked up my 86 short box, it has a newer 305 and was thinking of building a 327 I hv from a 68 C10 with the small chamber 305 heads and do some porting, but I usually build a 454 and install in pretty much everything so you hv me rethinking it...if building an engine anyway, why not go big and be happy.
Nice work on your nice truck.

Thanks, I had paint and bodywork done over the summer. I can't wait for warm weather so I can get the top back off. Here are a few more shots.

Nice work on your nice truck.
I still have the freshly rebuilt 350 I took out of it. When gas prices were so high I almost changed it back in. I kind of have the 350 earmarked to go into my 72 C20 long bed. The pick up engine is getting a bit tired and I need to go through that one next.

@JeffD72, That is a beauty! Very nicely done.

Re: How Many 4 Wheel Drive Blazers Do We Have?

Nice to have a truck and a Blazer, plus can't go wrong with the spare 350, they are going up in price all the time, sure saves a lot when a person can do his own rebuild.

Re: How Many 4 Wheel Drive Blazers Do We Have?

I had this shipped from AZ last March. Its a 72 with a 68 front clip, The way I've always wanted to do one. Definitely a work in progress though, a long way from where I want it to be. Still worth giving up my 68 swb 4x4 to make room for it though.

That 68 clip looks great on there. Too bad the blazer didn't come out with the new body in 67.

Re: How Many 4 Wheel Drive Blazers Do We Have?

Thanks, I think I'll go with the 68 bumper and turn signals when I tackle the body and paint. I like the smooth bumper look, but I gotta admit I like the 68 clip even more on a lowered 2wd blazer

Wow! I really like the cowl hood on the 68 front! Is that a 1" cowl? Looks terrific!

May as well complete the look. I just bought that same rollbar for my blazer.

Looks good. Do you wheel it or Just drive it? With those big of Tires id be scared. I've already blown out 2 rears in mine with 35s. So I went 3/4 ton and Havnt had a problem yet. 12 bolts 1/2 ton axles and big tires don't mix with me. Lol
