Re: 68 aka "Chained in Porterbuilt Prison"
Both bezels painted dash color with vhx gauges...pass side will have black speaker screen with a billet clock delete.............unless i change my mind!!.....the reason i'm painting bezels is i had to extremely mod them to fit the "rollback" in the arch i put in (to aim the gauges upward more). But i wish i had left them stock......lot less headaches......jim

Re: 68 aka "Chained in Porterbuilt Prison"
Thanx guys.....guess i'm happiest with all the welded seams below the a.c. vents...those were tedious bodywork ...all worth it to bring dash lower to cover heater box....or shall i say "vintage air" box.......got cab on rotiserrie....cleaning up high hump and drive shaft notch and welds from seat brackets..should be painted this time next week.....I paint mine in stages...bottom first...then firewall from pinch welds up to windshield ...then cab and jambs....some think it's over kill but it lets you get better control of your work without dry spots from overspray...etc.......jim

Is it going to be solid or two tone? Sorry if I missed it if it has been stated before. Looking good! Love your attention to detail.

Re: 68 aka "Chained in Porterbuilt Prison"
WOW!!!!! Don't know how I have missed this build from a fellow Louisianan... Awesome work, truck looks amazing, all the small details(some big ones too). All this talk of swap meets, we are getting ready for "Decatur" next weekend, I think I heard you mention earlier in your build that you make the Decatur swap meet. Let me know and where you are, I would love to meet you. Again, great work on your truck and good luck with it. You have given me so many ideas to steal from you. That just one of the nice things about this forum.... Casey

Re: 68 aka "Chained in Porterbuilt Prison"
Decatur, TX - it's a very cool, old school swap meet. We've gone for the past few years.

Re: 68 aka "Chained in Porterbuilt Prison"
We'll got some pieces I've been looking at for a while....thanks to Eric (superflysteiny) for ramroding the effort to get these from Marquez...Don't think there are too many of these out so unless u have seen Tootsie's (Eric's ride) u may not have seen these.....and his doesn't have the closeout panel that i'm aware of ....so here they are...all glass cabliner (2 piece) and glass grille closeout panel...some unreal glass work....liner fits like glove and can be upholstered or painted...I'm upholstering mine.....held in place with cab light..visors..and shoulder belt bolts .....but lots of other options.........jim
