454/weiand/holley/hooker/flows3" exhaust/700R4/2200 converter/new distibutor(HEI),belts/hoses/radiator,WP,fuel pump, yadda yadda the interior is made from a 1960 pierce fire truck maroon naugahyde rolled and pleated material has that old fire truck smell and looks old without looking ragged

yeah buttons are dated but you gotta fill the holes with something and the fire truck used them

Hey new to the forum, but avid long time reader... I realized all i have is old pics, my current state is not well photo documented! LOL!
I must say though, just thew my buddys 81 SWB in flat black and its tons better than the Electric Blue PPG that it was!!! I dig it! I dig the Buttons too, takes me back to thoughts of them burning my hind on the bench of my dads old 75 stepper! |

Sdavid, nice truck! So what kind of seats are those and can you provided a picture of the seat from the floor level, so that you can get a longer view of it, etc. You know how we can be when we see something diffirent.
Nice truck agian!!! Last edited by Smoke_Dog; 11-14-2008 at 08:48 AM. |

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds
Thanks for the compliments. I am not Stacey David, but I always think he might be a long lost cousin. My first name is Stan.
Not sure on the model or brand name of the seat. It is a fold down middle console type, but moves up and back like a solid bench. Last couple of pics I got of the seat: The seat will not go back as far as a stock bench will, so I got to look at that closer.

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds
I guess that's what keeps me from trying harder to score one of these type seats. I always hear they don't go as far back as the stockers, but I need the legroom.

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds
Hello new here, and this is one I've been working on for a few years now. 1980 with a 425 Cadillac / turbo 400 / Ford 9" pos-a-trac lowered 6" in front and 8" in the rear. Its still a drivable work in the process. Thanks! |

SBTork, I got the decal from the woodward dreamcruise in Detroit. Gm was handing them out left and right at their boths. This last cruise (2008), they did not hand them out. I got one 2006 and 2007.

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds
Here's my plow/dump/back-up vehicle I just bought for $800 with the plow. It has a crate 350 with 10K on it and a 4 speed. Blew a brake line on the home so I'm doing a quick rebuild on all the brakes/lines/hoses. My son calls it "Project Blue Hair" Ha Ha. I'm doing a 57 Hot Rod so that's my real love. As a side note, is there any truck more American than these Chevys? I looked at all the pics and some I liked and some I hated but they're all cool.
