You and me both, hope to be back on the body work soon. The wood bed floor will raise revealing all the frame work.

Re: Wild C10 project

Well I think everyone knows about the bad shape the oil field is in right now, which has been my career and has given me the opportunity to take very good care of my family and splurge a little on my life long dream of building this truck. I was laid off from my job on 4/7, which I'm the type that doesn't waste anytime and will do anything to support my family. I was very blessed to find a job in less than 24 hrs. But I now make a quarter of what I was making. I've really cutted back on things and will be able to sell my daily driver to be able to slower complete this build. I have a 2015 Chevy 2500 HD Z71 LTZ diesel for sell if anyone out there is looking, things have to go. But I've been very blessed and had several set backs on this build already so I'll find a way to keep it rolling. I just want to thank everyone for showing interest and following along on this project

Decided the frame will be powder coated. Wheels are 22x8.5 w/ 5.75" BS and 22x10 w/ 4.25" BS Raceline Executives

Re: Wild C10 project

Sorry to hear about your job, a lot of hard working guys are heading out of the oil fields. My son was ready to fly home from his hitch when they told him, and just pointed his rig truck south and had to eat the ticket. Jobs are easy to find for now but the pay loss is gonna be hard to learn to live with. Good luck on your build, slow and steady....

Re: Wild C10 project

Was thinking about your build today, I know things have slowed on it lately tho. Hope things are still going well with the new job and with family, and can't wait to see updates when you're able to get back on the truck!

Re: Wild C10 project

Well the new job is going okay, just had to cut back a lot. Toys had to go and truck build has pretty much been put on the back burner for now. Was hoping to get the welding completed on the frame and all powder coated since its been paid for in advance but my frame guy has been having health problems. Been keeping him in prayers and hopefully soon I'll have it back at my shop to slowly tinker on it.

Re: Wild C10 project

Finally getting the body on the new frame. Took some trimming of the firewall and cab floor due to the body drop. Pics aren't the best due to being at night, but its layed out frame and body on the cement. Last pic with front clip on its on jack stands. Going to get the core support mounts and shock mounts completed and off to powder coating.
