Glass looks good. Too bad about the wheels. I'm sure you'll find some you like.

Re: Crash's 69 K10

After putting it in and taking it out 4 times the windshield is finally in, with trim. It looks great. The windshield is just like all other aftermarket parts, not an exact fit. It took a little persuading to get it done.

Also picked up my new wheels and tires (Moto Metal 955’s and Nitto 325/60/18).. Headed back to the lake tomorrow to put them on.

I will post pictures of both tomorrow evening..

Re: Crash's 69 K10

I have MM 961's on my Tundra. They have a nice selection of wheels. It's interesting the hub will fit on the 955's and not the others. Looking forward to pix.

Steve, I have learned that the wheel bore size is not always what you think it is, at least with a Moto Metal wheel. The MM 951 has a 108mm (4.25”) (as do many of MM’s other wheels), but it does not go all the way through the wheel. I have to assume it was designed for later model vehicles that do not have the 4wd locking hub. I was told by moto metal that the 950, 955, 956, and 960 would work in my application. But not sure if there are any others. I did like the looks of the 951, but after seeing the 955’s mounted with the Nitto’s I am not sure I don’t like the 955 better. My only concern is the width of the 325/60/18. They are a little over 12.5” wide, think I my want to go with something a little narrower. I will know more latter today after I install them.

Re: Crash's 69 K10

Got the wheels installed.. I think they look really good on the truck.. I think I need a new camera, because the pictures don’t do the paint or wheels justices.

I brought the old wheels and tires back to Edmond. I will post them on Craigslist this evening.

Going to take a couple of days off this week and try to get everything I can complete.

The truck looks real nice in the pix - can't wait to see it in person. Nice choice on the new shoes too, Mark.

Thanks Steve.. Hopefully sometime soon we can meet up.. I would love to look at TOM in person. I say short changed a month or so ago, I would bet now that TOM is finished, it will start to come together very quickly..

Have a good evening.

You could be right on the new camera, but still we get the idea and we know it rocks, nice rims, a real plus over the other rims, good fit.

Re: Crash's 69 K10

Took a couple of days off and worked on installing the door glass. Got it all in, everything works.. Rebuilt the window regulators and they seemed to work ok. The passenger side is hard to turn in a couple of places. It seems to be getting better to more I use it.

After the glass install I started on the door panels..

Tomorrow I hope to finish the interior and may work on the bed floor.

I am hoping to get the bed on the truck by the end of this week. Even though it is not finished, I could still get the bed liner sprayed and the exhaust installed.

Boy with all that sound deadening you won't hear it running, OK just kidding, nice job, cool you have had time to get more done, wish I could see it in person. I haven't had time for my 1 ton lately so taking next wed/thursday off to go with good Friday and the weekend so will have a lot of days to get the cast intake off the 454, swap the cam out, port the cyl heads and install roller rockers then dual elect fans, so have to work fast like you do, cool build kepp us posted, very enjoyable build.

Dang fine looking rig you've built there. "Interior done" is a huge milestone, and next week with the bed back on will be like "almost done". Great job!
