Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Part II

new to the board. (but lurking for the whole summer)
dad had '70 & '72 c10's, sold em when i wasnt looking 20 yrs ago.
i worked 30 extra hours per week this summer to get this truck plus some little budget to make it mine.
most of my questions are answered here (thanks), but i may need some clarification now and then. (thanks for this too)

that pic is flattering. not sure of the paint, but it doesnt look like auto paint to me.

Nice clean truck, sure different look than hotrodded stuff we see so often, the whites make it look so stock and original looking. Likin it.

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Part II

Oops. I thought I was posting to srvivor71 about his green gmc. I have a '72 Jimmy 4wd, with a '72 GMC cab and short flatdeck. I'm new to this site, or any site and am obviously doing it wrong!

Not a bad start. It's getting harder to find clean trucks.

Great starter truck for the right price. Looks like everything is there. (Minus a door handle)

Looks good to me. This door handle was cheap!
And she's already "In The Weeds"!

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Part II

Thanks. Yeah, the rust isn't real bad. The rockers are through, but the passenger side cab corner isn't. My wife got it in probably 1982 and it's hard to image the life this truck must have had before, because it's almost exactly as it was then. Then her dad hired some kid to paint it. Basically made it worse. Gold Imron paint flaking off everywhere with really crappy body work, with 1/4" bondo spots. But it will be fun when we get it done.

Wow, that truck is so low it's sitting in the weeds already. Good truck to start with.
