http://lugnutz65chevystepside.weebly...less-mess.html I also recommend applying a rattle can top coat after the POR-15 has dried enough to not leave any fingerprint.

Didn't touch it, but spent a bunch of money on it today. Front end rebuild kit, cam and lifters, and a set of headers. About to order epoxy primer. Been over 100 degrees here for more than a week. Hard to get motivated to run that sandblaster after a days work.

I then used their black topcoat, which went on much thicker, and did, in some cases, leave brush strokes. Put down plastic over anything you don't want black spots on, and wear gloves/long sleeves. This is tough stuff, but hoping it'll make my frame pretty much rust-proof. Your frame and suspension won't be exposed to UV very much, but I still recommend the top coat. Here is a shot of what the finished frame with POR 15 and their top coat looks like: |

I got the carpet installed in the back of my Panel. First 1/2 inch padding, when thin low pile carpet. Really happy with how it turned out!

Finished all the wire crimps for everything in front of the firewall. Final wrap to protect the wires will come later. Wired and installed the hood turn signals too.

Re: What did you do to your truck today part III
A busy weekend.
Today It was off to Hamstreet with Nicola and Martin on the bikes to a bike show and auto jumble. Followed by a run up the M20 to Wateringbury near Maidstone for another car and bike show, which was more of an excuse for a huge party and tons of Harley's together together. Home by about 4pm and swopped bike and truck about. Martins Eddie Lawson Replica 1100cc Kawasaki behind Nicola who was being a clown all day, when we were filling up this morning. Nicola snapped this pic of me headed to the Swapmeet...... She said I looked like a man on a mission. Wearing Clem's party shirt from last year. My bargain of the day........ Been looking for something heavy duty like these for some time, found them on a traders stand at the bike swap meet. Managed to get a deal on 10 of them, 4 for my truck and 6 for Martins long bed to tie his V-Rod down once the truck is completed. Paid £3.20 each in stead of £4.00 each. Once countersunk and bolted down with countersunk head bolts in the rear bed, it will make the truck even more useful. Little by little the bits are coming together.

Re: What did you do to your truck today part III
I gave my truck a black eye! (Installed my grille and lights today, I found that somehow I only sandblasted one of the headlight bezels and the other was still black - so I installed it this way just for the pic . . . .).
