Re: Patina, shop logo'd, rusty trucks?
Can't remember if i have posted my truck in this thread before so here is a picture of it a few days after I painted it flat black. It used to be green and looked almost like the hot rod city truck with a little less patina but alot more rust holes. Unfortunately I cant find any pics I have taken in the past when it was painted like that. I am wanting to find someone that can paint the door with my business name but make it look like it was painted on there years ago. Just excuse me in the pictures I don't have any better ones right now.

You mean like this?
It is pretty easy to do yourself if you have some patience.

Re: Patina, shop logo'd, rusty trucks?
thank you mayo, bought the truck for 1500 and a few days of hard work and thanks to some rustoleum paint, this is what I got. made the patina look out of black and dark green and then clear it, for protection, even the interior was painted with rustoleum red, and bought the roll of tan leather for 5 dollars at the turlock swap meet and the gauges on ebay all in all spend 2200.00 hundred, but now shes gone, sold her last month |

Re: Patina, shop logo'd, rusty trucks?
Houston, I think we have a problem .......... I think that grille is worth saving
There is a fine line between "Patina" and "Cancer". I think this one has crossed that line. Last edited by lakeroadster; 03-11-2011 at 08:50 AM. |

Re: Patina, shop logo'd, rusty trucks?
I'm sure someone on the photoshop forum will help you out. Post it up there when you have time. Just have a good idea of what you want the logo to look like and give them a good straight on shot of the truck (not angled like the current pic) Give them a few days since it's free (many who ask for free chops are impatient )

Re: Patina, shop logo'd, rusty trucks?
My plow project and the 69 I just picked up. Contemplating paint schemes and logos for the 69. I like flat black, drab green, rusty metal primer.. Any ideas anyone? Would the white top still be alright with a layered/weathered look? Flat white?
