Re: "Rice Rocket'

When my brakes were sticking it was mainly after they were warm. I had to pull the Master Cylinder off the Diafram and adjust the push rod because once warm the fluid expands a little which caused it to push more then i liked.

Re: "Rice Rocket'

doesnt pull when braking each wheel spins equally now, I still think it could get bette may bleed some more in the future or see if a brake place can 'flush' the system or something..

Ok, Will get pics up of everything in a bit..

Can I just take pictures of the calipers on the wheel? I may try to upload a video of me spinning the wheel so you guys can determine if its 'good enough' now or not..

Its ALOT better than it was (putting new Mc on and bleeding/flushing brakes)..

Re: "Rice Rocket'

Where did you buy the disc/drum MC? The bowls appear to be the same size, which is not normal. It could be right, but if you are having problems, you might want recheck the part number. Just a thought.

Ok, so i'm jelious of about 7 or 8 of the cars and trucks if ya really wanna know. )

And i think in Washington the cost of an antique plate is probably 3 times that much thanks to our mighty governor and her trusty ballpoint pin.

Re: "Rice Rocket'

No progress, went outside yesterday and there was water/antifreeze everywhere!

Leaking somehwere around the waterpump, I thought it looked cracked took it out and it wasnt..Maybe the old hose (I didnt replace) wasnt sealed up good, (even though I re tightened it and added more water and it still leaked)

Its gotten cool here! upper 40's for a high I think 55 today, we goin ridin wheelers!

Dads car...well Idk, its on the backburner, hopefully i'll get motivated this week!

Re: "Rice Rocket'

Well, She must've fixed herself? I cant get it to leak a drop now?..lol We will see though tomorow..

I didnt realize how much power the ol 350 had. (Never really tried SLAMMING 1st-2nd). It threw me back in the seat pretty good , But when you hit 2nd it bogs down bad . Hey hub, What is your name anyway? Mine is John. Would you recommend a 700r4 to me? Was the swap hard, difficult tricky, would you do it again? And what did it cost (est.) Thinking about ditching the ol 3spd, yeah its cool but doesnt go fast and OD would be nice..

Thats all for now, I need to do a bunch of free misc. things that are free and just require time, And alot of things that cost $ that I cant do right now. I need to start hunting some 4wheelers to fix up and Im going to swing by advance auto this week, I turned in my application over the weekend they said to check back after that..(supposed to be hiring someone in the next week or so..)

Thinking about ditching the ol 3spd, yeah its cool but doesnt go fast and OD would be nice..

WHat? my name is actully hubscrub ........................................no most people call me nate , i do like my 700r4 some seem to think that a 2004r is better because of the gears are closer the 700 has a lower first gear i think. the swap was not hard i made my crossmember but you can buy them i have not hooked up my lockup converter yet it would drop the rpms another 2-3 hundred more i would say. I would do it again the cost was around $1,100 but i did buy a fresh rebuilt trans from a local guy and that included a converter, dipstick, TV cable, the shield thingy and a 18 month warr. the other hundred was what i spent with the shifter cable stuff for my column you could do a hard link shifter if you just did some thinking i might still do that and the speedo gears (i have yet to do and buy) will cost alittle to get your speedo right and the lockup kit you get too. you would also have to get a radiator for a auto. i bought a 4 core for about 200, and a driveshaft would have to be made we just cut down a one piece and used it
