Re: 1967 C10 Custom Big Window
I finally got my breather cover installed over the air cleaner. It was a PITA but was well worth it. Always wanted to make a custom that noone else has.

That's pretty much the coolest breather cover I have ever seen. Looks great!

Re: 1967 C10 Custom Big Window
nice job on the air cleaner !!! also i dont know if you want the letters to stand out on your valve covers or not but if you do Ecklers has the scripted logos in silver for $10 that you could put on them, just an idea you might not want yours to stand out

Re: 1967 C10 Custom Big Window
I buffed the truck again getting it ready for it's debut at a small show right by the shop. Finally I was able to catch a good shot of the paint turning green in the right light. Still gotta clean the rims up tomorrow cause the show is Sunday and it's gonna be on a trailer so the wheels and tires are going to be closer to eye level, so they have to be gleaming! I stuck the tailgate on today and was working with the taillight trim.
And one more cause it looked really good......well.....to me at least.

Re: 1967 C10 Custom Big Window
Today was my first under-construction showing of my truck. A local car show that was invitation only. Some VERY high dollar show rides were in attendance. I was given the go ahead to bring mine on a trailer to show the work in progress. Within an hour and a half I was offered 28K for the truck when the interior was completed. Not bad for it's first outing!

Yep. Just don't think I can do it. He went as far as to ask me to paint the inside of the bed instead of doing liner. He told me to sleep on it and get back with him. The truck would be sent to Cali and that would suck cause we need more in Texas! Not yet!! Once it is finished it would bring that, plus some, and I would be able to enjoy it for a little while too. The guy told me to keep his number and call him when, and if, I decide to sell it.

Re: 1967 C10 Custom Big Window
Man, he's finally got something custom that nobody else has( the whole truck in my opinion) and he's thinking about selling? Great looking truck. Hope you get to enjoy it for at least a little while.

Re: 1967 C10 Custom Big Window
Thanks for the (custom) compliments! Not really thinking about selling it yet, I do want to enjoy it a little before I make that mistake!! Sidenote: The guy who won second place in the entire show owns a 68 Chevelle SS 396.........that he BOUGHT about a month ago, and 2 weeks ago I had to help him start it to get it home because the positive battery cable was just layin on top of the battery post. Sometimes more money than sense is a shame.

Re: 1967 C10 Custom Big Window
Got my transmission lines ran after spending about 4 hours buffing and bending and re-buffing them. I hope they work with the headers. I also got my bed aligned better and my front bumper aligned more to my liking. I still have to adjust the tailgate. The trim over the taillights is on temporarily for aligning purposes but not on the pic.

Re: 1967 C10 Custom Big Window
And more expensive and expensive! The lines will only look good for about 8 months if I'm lucky. Clearcoating them may be an option.....what do you think?
